I think those might be associated with those who believe the world is going to end on December 1, 2012. Something about the Mayan calendar, and the world shifting on its axis.

the other day, too. But i also saw several signs on major highways/interstate exchanges that said: “WE WERE WARNED Search: 2012 is on” The words “we were warned” are in full caps and written in white, Search: 2012 is directly below and the background to these signs are pitch black. I saw this sign 3 times at different locations. At 75mph min. (to keep up with the flow of traffic), I couldn’t see who sponsored them or where to go to search… I am a 7th generation Texan (Texan before it was Texas) and I have never seen this kind of sign, ever! Very ominous signs…
