Since she can’t just throw it out! High concentration of salt in landfill will really disrupt the natural decay of thing, just ask any envirowhackist.

Ideas:
1) Portland Ice Cream Festival in November – Keeps Dairy men employed producing more milk, retailers might sell some ice cream machines or Lands end ice cream balls (no joke)
2) Give it away to gardeners who salt and plow, reduces thier winter operating costs.

4) Do what liberal do best, GIVE IT AWAY to senior citizens, saying it’s a healthcare savings – Melted ice isn’t slippery (just politicians) so you won’t hurt yourself, so the taxpayers won’t have to pay for that hip operation. Make sure there’s plenty of press for that one.

But frankly I can’t think of anything more gauche than rock salt, so forgive me.

I actually support mailing bags of rocks, concrete and all sorts of nuts and bolts to idiotic congresspeople. We should also mail apple pies and American flags to ones we love.

That still doesn’t change the fact that I have other things I can mail, very effectively….

I realize that a lot of things get done with rock salt, but I’d like to do a lot more with paper. I can help stimulate the economy, believe me.
