Hypothetical: company A can produce audio tapes of meetings where Sharpton henchmen “offered their protection”, and Company A respectfully declines to play ball (or perhaps even tells them to go pound sand).. It falls somewhat short of prosecutable extortion, or let’s just say it’s not worth it to pursue. NLPC populates a list of companies that have stood up against this extortion, it gets picked up by the Rush Hannity Ingraham Levin Prager Medved Hedgecock et al, they PLAY the audio tapes, and millions of Americans perhaps *tweak* their shopping habits accordingly.

Nothing so formal as a boycott or “buycott”, but a few interesting things happen:

• For Company A, the threat of “ruination by media” is countermanded. Companies are about survival, and it takes a modicum of courage but many will see the benefit of playing the victim card when they have a whole powerful constituency as their safety net.
• Companies B, C, and D, next on Sharpton’s shakedown list see this, and know that they have leverage, and don’t have to submit to blackmail. They’ll give Sharpton the finger. Probably audio record it as well.
• The majority media will crap in their pants, accusing the right of all sorts of malfeasance, to the hillarity of all. Right-side talk radio can play their caterwauling endlessly, to guffaws and mockery.
• Sharpton, Jackson, and other race-hustlers will have their resources drained. They’ll always have the ear of the press, but it’ll cut down on the big jets, the ad campaigns, the chinchilla coats, the lap of luxury.

Criticizing Rush still probably isn’t the greatest idea since it will piss-off a lot of your readership, but it won’t get you in trouble with your editors. At least you’ll be in lock-step with the prevailing sentiment on TV- that Rush is a racist, so as long as you’re swimming with that tide, you’ll be ok.

At the time he said this, the modern race hustlers didn’t exist, but the profiteers were still there. Now with the Democrats new black plantation, the gate posts are manned by the hustlers, spewing thier racist hatred.

No, he won’t have to answer any of these questions because the fix is in.

ESPN doesn’t want to explore this issue. Olbermann is one of their own. Something tells me “The Sports Reporters” on ESPN will spend the minimum amount of time on this story as possible this Sunday.

The mainstream sports media is really liberal. They know that exploring this issue further and fully helps Rush…so therefore, the story must die.

The MSM writ large wants this to die fast, too. Apparently, some major newspapers and TV networks have aired libelous material about Rush. There are consequences for that sort of thing…

And Roger Goodell doesn’t want to talk about this any more. If you were him, would you agree to a probing interview?
