OK, like they’re secretly trying to pass a health-care takeover bill? Secretly trying to wreck our own economy with a cap-and-tax bill? Secretly spending government money on leftist causes? One thing I really wish they would have addressed more directly is the Civil Rights & Voting Rights Acts of 1964 & 1965. They could have taken the opportunity to point out that Democrats filibustered them and Republicans overcame those filibusters. They probably just wanted to avoid naming the President who eventually signed the measures. It would be worth it though, just to see names like Al Gore Sr. & Robert K.K.K. Byrd listed as opponents of civil rights.

If, at the end of the day, Sen Snowe wants to vote for Obama-Baucus Care, so be it.

However, make sure it’s at the END of the day!! Senator Snowe should vote against any effort to stifle debate, vote against any effort to vote on the bill before everyone’s had time to read it, and vote against any effort to pass the bill through shifty shenanigans (like making health reform an add-on to a bill limiting bonuses).

If healthcare reform isn’t going to go into effect until 2013, there’s no rush to pass a bill now.
