Milk and Cookies for War Criminals: The Obama Recipe for Diplomatic Success

There is one country on earth led by a war criminal — Sudan. On the campaign trail, Barack Obama condemned the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. In Washington, on a near daily basis, there is a vigil outside the Embassy of Sudan to call attention to the genocide.

But never mind the past and the rhetoric. Barack Obama has a new strategy in the Sudan — give the Sudanese genocidal dictator milk and cookies.

Seriously.

The Washington Post reports, “U.S. diplomacy has remained mostly in the hands of one man, Obama’s special envoy to Sudan, retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Scott Gration, who is pushing for normalizing relations with the only country in the world led by a president indicted for war crimes.”

Gration’s money quote: “We’ve got to think about giving out cookies,” said Gration, who was appointed in March. “Kids, countries, they react to gold stars, smiley faces, handshakes, agreements, talk, engagement.”

With diplomatic skills and rhetoric like this, we can only expect that the genocide in Sudan will spread.

I must ask again: how many Americans are going to die because of the foreign policy and national security incompetence of the Obama administration?

All of what’s going on is ON PURPOSE…. to denigrate and weaken our nation in order for the left’s plans to take full hold.

This is also not about one man and please stop making it about “him”. This is seemingly going way beyond POTUS and morphs towards the basis of a one-world Socialist/Fascist “utopian” government taking shape.

The seeds are there if you look…. hiding in plain sight.

C.I.F.T.A. ; The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child ; The G-8 has just been neutered and all the ‘power’ has been taken by The G-20.

The things they’re not counting on are plenty….. But to start with, first and foremost, Americans… true free Americans…. will not allow their nation to be handed over to tyranny…. domestically or internationally.

The wild card is the Islamic lunatics nuking up and whatever else they’re planning.

Scott Gration should know better. I hate to think of what he loaded his bombers with.

Amendment XXV, Section 4 of the Constitution. The Constitution provides a mechanism for removing a president who is incompetent — or mendacious — or simply dangerous to the people’s liberties

“Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

“Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.”

Clearly, this fellow the American people voted into the presidency is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office . . . .”

I realize no chance in hell exists that Biden and the rest of Teleprompter Boy’s crew would ever invoke this power to remove him.

But, we should begin talking about the fact that the Constitution provides a mechanism for removing a president who is incompetent — or mendacious — or simply dangerous to the people’s liberties — (and Teleprompter Boy seems to be all of these) and that Biden and the rest should be keeping this option in mind as Teleprompter Boy continues to weaken this country militarily and economically. We need to talk about the fact that Teleprompter Boy, despite what is causing it, is simply putting our country in grave danger and, for that reason, he has proven to be “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. . . .”

A new battle cry: REMEMBER AMENDMENT 25, SECTION 4, BECAUSE IT’S THE CONSTITUTION, LIBERAL!

Thank you.

Gration is a clown

WarEagle01 (Diary) Monday, September 28th at 7:56PM EST (link)

I just read his bio and a Newsweek article about him. His career is boilerplate Air Force general: F-16 pilot, National War College, Pentagon, Wing Commander, etc., etc. Apparently, his main qualifications for being the Sudan envoy are: 1. He really, really likes Barry. He’s even described him as “the American Mandela.” Seriously; and 2. He knows Swahili. (I guess the great linguist Barry 0 wasn’t aware that they don’t actually speak Swahili in Sudan).

the United States government coddled a dictator.

I don’t know who this Gration guy is, nor do I know what his orders are. Given his military service record, and his youth spent in the Congo, I’m willing to give him more credit than condemnation based on a sound bite.

At any rate, Sudan is somewhere down the list of US military priorities. If Gration is truly incompetent, it’s a good thing he’s not in charge of Iraq or Afghanistan.

Even Carter Wasn't This Bad

Patrick McGarry Monday, September 28th at 8:09PM EST (link)

There was a time where I considered Obama simply an embarrasement, hopefully an anomoly that leads to a correction such as Reagan after Carter. It’s clear though that Obama is a national disgrace. The fact that he is intentionally attempting not only to undermine the United States on the world stage but also to make us look foolish and weak while doing so is simply astonishing and infuriating. Sadly, not surprising given his ideology but infuriating nonetheless.

General Kumbayah

Redbirdfan (Diary) Tuesday, September 29th at 7:09AM EST (link)

I used to work for Gration in the Pentagon shortly after 9/11. He was charged with fighting back against AQ and the Taliban via information operations. He was definitely in the more we talk to them the better they understand us club back then. He often talked about the time in spent in Kenya while growing up. A few of us called him General Kumbayah. It was hard for me to keep a straight face while he talked about how engagement would solve our problems, at the very time we needed to be fighting back hard in the propaganda war in the Middle East and South Asia. Needless to say he was a complete failure in his job.
