and i know that, according to the Congressional Budget Office, if cap and tax passes, diesel fuel prices will go up at least 88 cents per gallon, 77 cents per gallon for everyone driving a car or light truck (probably both are low ball figures knowing the government). That means the cost of shipping everyday items like food, clothing, etc will be passed on to the consumer in one form or another. This bill is an absolute atrocity! I’ve already called & e-mailed my senators & told them about the added costs.

I think it is more that his allegiance is to his ideology and only to his ideology. After that he is insensitive to everything else.

Also, I think there is a fair bit of the ACORN hubris at work. He didn’t expect it to leak, because these sorts of things have never been leaked on him before. They’re all good buddies working toward the same end and they know this sort of thing simply can’t be released to the rubes who don’t know what is good for them.

And much as I hate to disagree with you, I don’t think he does know how much it will harm the economy. We knew Joe the Plumber knows more about economics than The Big 0 did after a single question on the campaign trail. As far as The Big 0 is concerned, more money for the government is a good thing because that means he can ensure it is spend properly. You know, ACORN housing grants and get out the vote drives.
