Jed Babbin has the top story at Human Events today.
The anger that seemed President Obama’s central theme in his September 9 speech to Congress was palpable, almost shocking. He demanded action now, and threatened to “call out” those who — he claimed — were spreading falsehoods about his healthcare nationalization plans.
Obama does not seem to realize that the fire and brimstone of the campaign trail have to be left behind when a man enters the Oval Office. Presidents who exude confidence, competence and principle usually succeed. Anger belies the self-confidence that has been Obama’s trademark. It may soon replace it.
Obama is, again, the incredible shrinking president. His anger — in speech after speech about healthcare, before and after the address to the joint session of Congress — is not just unpresidential, but has a constant negative effect, a gradual whittling away of whatever influence he may have abroad that has not already been surrendered in his June speech in Cairo.

This brings to mind the photo of Obama that Drudge
janis (Diary) Monday, September 14th at 9:39AM EST (link)has had over the past two days. It shows Obama with a really angry look on his face with the lead underneath saying, “They can’t stop us…” Warns health care bill must pass…….
He looks and sounds petulant and powerless.

His tales of abuse don’t stand scrutiny.

Responsible reform requires careful analysis of the underlying causes of problems in health insurance and informed debate over the benefits and costs of targeted remedies. The president’s continued demonization of private health insurance in pursuit of his broad agenda of government expansion is inconsistent with that objective.
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

The other night, when POTUS spoke to the joint session, I felt like that chamber was really small as POTUS stood there giving his Don’t Upset the Donkey Cart speech. He was small – a miniature person tossing around miniature words. That chamber shrank in its grandeur of symbolism and ideas.
The combative tone of the speech… the attempted smackdowns to silence opposition to the “plan”… the manipulations . . . All of this made for a wee speech in that chamber, where the room shrank, the words were miniature and the people were small.
“If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out.” –POTUS, 9-9-09, Joint Session
Seems Joe Wilson got the first smackdown, POTUS; but you can rest assured We the People will get the last! So, POTUS, while you’re busy calling us out – we will be busy shouting you down. Let me repeat that – we will be busy SHOUTING YOU DOWN. Uh oh!
Hey, Joe Wilson!? Do not stand on that floor and apologize. Do not take our oxygen away because the We the People Community Organization (WPCO) is rumbling full steam ahead.
Be smart! Be safe! Peace!

Obama is basically a low class thug.
Tbone (Diary) Monday, September 14th at 11:49AM EST (link)To him anger is a communication tool. Were he not black, he could have had a lucrative career in some union.
Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.
Babbin does not yet get who Obama really is.
INC (Diary) Monday, September 14th at 11:58AM EST (link)Obama is not a liberal Democrat who cares about whether he is perceived as weak. He is a narcissistic Alinsky radical who is bent on pushing his ideology and agenda on America. He does not care for the miserable or tragic consequences at home or abroad nor does he care how he is perceived unless something would hinder the implementation of his agenda..
People really need to understand this. Until they do they will continue the miss the point of who Obama is and what he is doing.
Start with Dan McLaughlin’s excellent investigative piece from last year: POLITICS: The Integrity Gap, Part II of III: Sen. Barack Obama
At NewsReal Blog David Horowitz and others who write over there recognize who Obama is and what he is doing.
Finally, Lindsay Graham Noticed Obama's Anger

If he and his buddy McCain would man up and start taking this guy on then I will start to get excited.
His anger was evident a year ago

Perhaps the blindfolds will come off before it is too late. And I can only hope that those who delight in his anger towards their perceived enemies will realize that his anger is directed against them too.
The greatest evil…is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern. -C.S. Lewis

I disagree, depending on your context
bk (Diary) Monday, September 14th at 5:48PM EST (link)He came across throughout the campaign as being NOT the stereotypical angry black male, but rather the soft-spoken, reasoned, intelligent guy who happened to be black. You know, the type of guy a white middle class person could feel comfortable voting for.
Now you can say that it was clear that under the covers he was this angry soul – clear because of the radicals he always hung out with – but he ALWAYS kept those feelings under the surface during the campaign. So Joe and Jane Public NEVER saw him get angry.
But now that he’s in office, he’s become a black version of Rumpelstiltskin when he doesn’t get his way.
This will become Obama's out for both
blooch Monday, September 14th at 1:56PM EST (link)his health care and foreign ploicy failures:
“…from one fevered liberal brow comes the admonition that, ‘A U.S. president who fails on his signature issue — health care — won’t have the strength and public support to deal with new challenges by Islamists. He will be seen at home and abroad as seriously weakened,” and so — she reasons — to save Afghanistan we have to give in to Obamacare.”
As the ashes settle on the smoking crater of his health care plans, and the disastrous results of his inattention to war become obvious to the world, the Citizen of the World in Chief will board Airbus One to begin his Angry Apology Tour. He will stand on foreign socialist shores and excoriate the benighted, stiff-necked racists who put his nation in such a perilous place by obstructing him at every turn. He will hint at their treason for not firmly standing behind him and showing a unified front to our mortal enemies.
I don’t think he’ll be as toxic as Bill Clinton became for campaign rallies, but I think he’ll have plenty of time on his hands during the 2010 campaign season to take his whine overseas and have it echoed back approvingly by our MSM.
“Lieutenant Dike wasn’t a bad leader because he made bad decisions. He was a bad leader because he made no decisions.”
Just look again at his chicago victory speech. Anger. Revenge. nt
