Are the Fowlers Just Generally Dirtbags? Because Carol Fowler Sure Seems To Be.

Carol Fowler, Chairwoman of the South Carolina Democrat Party, like her husband, is a dirt bag.

“Once again a South Carolina Republican has embarrassed our state,” Fowler said in a statement, making a nod to scandal-plagued governor Mark Sanford. “Never has any member of Congress shown such disrespect for the president during a speech.”

Really? You want to go there?

We caught Carol’s husband last year relishing the thought of a hurricane striking New Orleans during the Republican National Convention. A week later, Carol Fowler said Sarah Palin’s only qualification to be Vice President was that she hadn’t had an abortion.

Are we really going to let Carol Fowler lecture anyone on decorum? The woman is a dirtbag.

Well, Madame Fowler can join those few bedwetters on our side who will bemoan a truthful outcry.

As for me: yes, Obama lied. Address the content, Mdm. Fowler. Or anyone else who is upset with a congressman who…well, told the truth.

Crazy how life happens

nivlem (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 12:16AM EST (link)

Joe Wilson’s quote is all over the internet. I visited DailyKoz…it’s pretty much”the talk”. It is bigger then “the speech”.
But, how appropriate. Because he DID lie. He lied again, and again, and again. Then he promised to “call out” those opposed to him.
Then he lied again…
This is why Joe Wilson’s name will be hear loud and clear. It wiill be equal
to Sara Palin’s “Death Panel”.
Funny how “life happens”.
And, yet, there are moments when I wonder if God is paying attention….
Shame on me.
See you in Washington on Saturday.

Of course Joe Wilson is the focus. Otherwise, Obama's blatant lie would be the focus.

spainishirish (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 12:47AM EST (link)

This isn’t about deocrum, it is about a president who lies like a mindless child. The bottom line is the MSM never will focus on what caused Wilson to cast decorum aside, because he told the truth and their beloved president lied through his teeth. Yes, illegal aliens will get health care under the proposal(s) the president has embraced. God forbid we focus on that little inconvenient truth.

Next question, Mr. President: If you also get amnesty, what illegal alien today would not get your taxpayer-paid government health insurance? Just askin’.

Not Christain, but conservative

Chong Thursday, September 10th at 11:03AM EST (link)

I was conflicted this past election to call myself a Republican. Let me explain, I struggle to call myself a Republican because I am not a big believer in any religion. I do respect others with their belief, whichever that might be. I honor and recognize that this country was founded under Christian faith, for that I will not ever disrespect it. Though we were founded under Christianity, I don’t think Republicans should only be Christians. Our founding fathers with their infinite wisdom also gave us the “freedom of religion”. Republicans should stand on principles of less government and more individual.

Having said all this, I do like to share this with everyone here from the left or the right. George Washington did not like the party system and he adviced the future generation to veer from it. It looking like that man knew what he was talking about. Here is the link in case some of you need convincing:
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_it_true_that_George_Washington_favored_the_system_of_political_parties

All I am saying, don’t be so blinded by party or idealism. This country, this experiment is too important and the world depends on its success.

The Democrats loudly whooped every time Obama bashed Bush

clowngirl (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 1:05AM EST (link)

uh,,,doesn’t that count as disrespecting a President?

The Republicans could slam Obama big time on that point...

AceInTX (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 1:49AM EST (link)

every time he whines about the deficits and the economy Bushg left him…Republicans need to reply…

Maybe the president has forgotten he’s been president for almost a year now…and Bush is gone…who will Obama blame next year?

or

“but you’ve been president for over a year now…added another trillion dollars to the deficit Bush handed you…and you’re plans were supposed to save us all…

The “Big Tent” analogy isn’t the correct one…the correct one is a MAGNET…we need to be a MAGNET that draws these independents in who are sick and tired of what’s going on in WashingtonFred Thompson

who will Obama blame next year?

Bush left him deficit? (adding to your point)

Chong Thursday, September 10th at 11:22AM EST (link)

I don’t see it this way at all, I see it as he volunteer for this deficit. Now he added to it and he still blaming Bush? He had plenty of time to back off when the market crash. I don’t remember seeing Bush twisting his arm to run for the Presidency. We have been too easy on these politicians, they ask for the jobs and then turn around to blame it on the other guy. If they can’t handle the job, they should not volunteer or paid to get the job.

I didn’t agree with Bush when he bail out every big businesses and the unions. I do not accept his explanation of saving capitalism with the bail out. For not staying his “Republican” principles, I blame him. As for Obama blaming him of doing it and then go double or triple it, that is so wrong. He is playing us as fools, I think we really need to wake up folks. No more party alliance and vote your main principle while the America our founding father created.

Wasn't it the stiff drunk Ted Kennedy...

MacAoidh (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 1:37AM EST (link)

…who heckled W during his State Of The Union speech?

It was pretty large-hearted of Fat Ted to do so. But Joe Wilson is an embarrassment. Oh, OK. Has Joe Wilson killed anyone during his political career?

I’m just happy that there’s a Joe Wilson in Washington who has a respect for the truth. The last Joe Wilson up there that I remember was a liar on a scale not dissimilar to Obama, and he had a hand in nearly destroying an American war effort.

I wish all the Republicans had stood up and called him a liar...

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Thursday, September 10th at 6:37AM EST (link)

does anyone remember the Hillary moment when President Bush spoke to the House? I have to head off to work but if someone can locate that video that would be great. I am sorry the SMARTEST most HONEST politician there last night had to apologize for the telling the TRUTH!

I think its about time...

… we adopt a little “House of Commons” attitude in Congress… Wilson called it like he saw it… and I APPLAUD his outburst!

Civility? Democrats and Civility can never be put in the same sentence without a punctuation of laughter at the end.

“Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim – when he defends himself – as a criminal.” — Frederic Bastiat

Time to Stand for Conservatives; Buck RINOs

bc3 Thursday, September 10th at 9:42AM EST (link)

We need to support conservatives and intensify the ousting of RINOs in the primaries. One logical target is Bennett from Utah, who was one of few GOP members of Congress to stand and applaud when Obama claimed death panels won’t exist and called Sarah Palin a liar.

Bennett had a 64% ACU rating in 2008 and is far more liberal than most Utah Republicans. It appears he will be facing a stiff primary challenge in 2010 and Utah is a lock for the GOP.

Might I suggest a consortium of conservative Websites working together to help oust RINOs beginning with Bennett?

So I missed the speech.

But it seems like this Joe Wilson fellow should have been selected to give the official Republican response.

From the airplay, I guess he did.

I'm proud my last name's Fowler...

RME KRNL Thursday, September 10th at 7:26PM EST (link)

…but I’m from Georgia and, so far as I know, those particular South Carolina Fowlers are not any kin. And if I found out they were, I’d disown ‘em.

What a crock for all the Dems to now use Wilson’s outburst to act superior and more civil and blah, blah, blah. Simply take some of the videos — there are plenty of them to choose from — showing them being repeatedly disrespectful to Bush and run them side-by-side with any Dem comments on Wilson’s outburst.

Wilson should have “apologized” like DHS Secy Napolitano did when, after calling our vets and anyone else who disagreed with Obama “right-wing domestic terrorists,” she later said she was sorry that WE took offense.

Wilson should have simply issued a press release saying that he was sorry that his passion for the truth caused him to say what he did, when he did and where he did, and that’s he’s sorry if Obama or anyone else took offense, and let it go at that, plain and simple.

But, aside from all that, Joe, way to go! At least you truly “spoke truth to power.”
