How’s That Glenn Beck Boycott Working Out For You Pathetic Leftists?

On Wednesday Glenn Beck had his best day ever. And it wasn’t just Glenn Beck’s best day, he crushed everyone else on cable.

The kicker? Rush Limbaugh was his guest.

Solidarity baby! We’ll crush the left even as they cry boycott. By the way, did you know that a number of the advertisers they claim are boycotting Beck have never even advertised on his show — that’s like saying I’m boycotting Timbuktu because I’ve never had an occasion to go there.

About WalMart

izoneguy (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 11:47PM EST (link)

I heard on Tom Sullivan’s show the other day that WalMart plans on putting in Dr. clinics inside of WalMart’s….

Makes sense now why WalMart is supporting Obamacare.

They will get the government to pay for the employees healthcare and you can get your shots and pick-up a six-pack at the same time.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Have nothing to do with each other

DerKrieger (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:23AM EST (link)

WM is putting in clinics as a means to provide care to its poorer customers and also some of the store associates. The clinics will be staffed with PA’s and/or RN’s qualified to diagnose and treat mild conditions that people would otherwise go to the ER or a real doctor to have addressed. This initiative will help drive down costs as well as help WM’s core demographic.
This plan was in place before Obama became a public name.

SC Johnson has not pulled or cancelled advertising for the Glenn Beck show, as we never directed our advertising to this particular program. In general, our goal is to provide good, informative ads and we select those programs and/or networks that make the most sense given our consumer base.

I agree. CVS lost me as a regular customer years ago because of their unsatisfactory handling of my prescriptions. Since then I’ve only gone there if it was convenient, now I won’t.

I got the same letter as above form SC Johnson, but am too suspicious to be willing to buy their products again yet. Proctor & Gamble didn’t bother to write me back. I’ve ditched them for their competitors.

Beck has harnessed the viral spread of his program via YouTube in the same way Rush shunned television in favor of radio.

Now Reagan needs to pass the torch to Palin…and quick.

Maybe. But the difference in style is striking.

Flagstaff (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 2:40PM EST (link)

Rush is high energy, theory-based, generally applicable, often humorous, leaves many questions unasked, expects you to bring much of your own general knowledge to the party.

Beck is low key, laid back, likes to get into a specific topic, deadly serious (usually), asks many questions, leads you right up to the question, includes much knowledge with his delivery.

Both leave you little option but to think about what they have said, and then act on it.

Bogus boycott lists happened in the Imus situation as well

katesmith (Diary) Thursday, August 27th at 11:57PM EST (link)

Imus was eventually removed from WFAN and is now on WABC but in the internet creativity surrounding his original comments, advertisers were listed by the angry left in error. As with Beck, some advertisers hadn’t been regulars on his show to begin with. In other cases, advertisers had contracted to run in local breaks any time in a several hour period. I always check to see if a product is by P&G–they’re the weakest in caving to the left. In the Imus situation, the main reason he ended up gone was CBS radio had no leader at the time. Imus’ long time boss there had recently left the network, so the blizzard of emails came and there was no one to take charge of the situation.

I’ve dumped Geico, Wal-Mart, and everyone else on the list and I’ve told them so. I’ve gotten a few email responses from some (like Wal-Mart) telling me to (paraphrasing) “to h*** with you too.” The others ignored me.

Meanwhile, even more companies have kissed the rear-end of “Color of Change” and have joined in the chorus of the Obama worship.

Frankly, I don’t think think our efforts have made any difference.

As for me, I’ve sworn off these companies forever. THIS DOG doesn’t forget. I WILL hold a grudge against a company until they’ve made right. [I'd like to mention here that Chilis made up VERY well for rotten service I got 6years ago. They are now my favorite restaurant]. Bu like I said, very rarely does that happen.

We’re not dealing with individuals here. I can forgive an individual. In fact, God requires that I do so. But this is not true with companies. Just ask Best Buy and Circuit City after they threw out the Salvation Army. Circuit City is gone and BB is hanging by a thread. Good riddance! I wish I could take credit for their demise but I don’t, only because the other store involved in this controversey, Target, is still thriving.

I wish Glenn Beck the highest of ratings and I wish his advertisers BIG returns. I just wish I could say that our protests meant something but sadly, they didn’t amount to a hill of beans. NOT ONE has changed course. Certain companies are on my blacklist but they couldn’t care less. if only those hippies from the 60s that I read about were as successful as I am today. Oh well. I will continue to see out companies that still believe in family values and put capitalism ahead of politics. In other words, I’m STILL SHOPPING for a replacement for Progressive! [No one will touch the rate I get for the same level of coverage. Pretty sad. But as soon as someone does, I'm gone!]

Nationwide Tea Party Leaders Announce Tea Party Buycott to Support Whole Foods This Tuesday

ColdWarrior (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 12:15PM EST (link)

Here you go:

ST. LOUIS – (BUSINESS WIRE) – The national leadership team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition this morning announced a series of Tea Party Buycott events designed to support John Mackey and the Whole Foods grocery chain. Mackey is the CEO whose op-ed in The Wall Street Journal opposing Obamacare and supporting free market health care reform has sparked unprecedented and unwarranted attacks from left wing propagandists.

The first two events are scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 1, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri and Dallas, Texas, with additional events in other cities and locales to come. The St. Louis event will be held at the Whole Foods store located in Town and Country, Missouri off Clayton Road and will begin at 6 pm. The Dallas kickoff event will be held at the Whole Foods Market located at 11700 Preston Rd., Dallas, Texas and will begin at 7 pm. Details of these Tea Party Buycotts and future buycotts can be found online at http://www.teapartybuycott.com.

Dana Loesch of the St. Louis Tea Party explained that a Tea Party Buycott asks supporters to gather [in this case] at the Whole Foods store to show economic support. “We are asking supporters to do all their week’s grocery shopping that night. Most tea party supporters are not regular customers of Whole Foods, and we want to show our support for Mr. Mackey’s championship of free market health care reforms.”

Katrina Pierson of the Dallas Tea Party echoed Loesch’s comments, adding, “Whole Foods will be supported by tens of thousands of fellow Americans, showcasing the economic impact the Tea Party movement can play in support of people who share our ideals.”

Kevin Jackson, St. Louis-based conservative black author, said of the event, “This Tea Party Buycott will send a message that many Americans share Mr. Mackey’s concerns. We support his message and his company. We also say to other CEOs with the courage of Mr. Mackey, we will support you as well.”

Gina Loudon of St. Louis, Missouri, who conceived the Tea Party Buycott concept and website at http://www.teapartybuycott.com, said, “We’re going to hit them where it counts-the wallet.”

Michael Patrick Leahy, national spokesperson for the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, said, “We’re taking the Alinsky boycott tactic and we’re turning it on its head. We’re making a positive statement of support, showing that fiscally conservative Americans have purchasing power, and we are more than willing to exercise it in support of great companies like Whole Foods and great CEOs like John Mackey.”

The national leadership team of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition includes many of the local and national organizers of the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Tea Party, which was attended by an estimated one million Americans in over 900 cities. Companies are always truthful....

Like Bank of America, for instance. They quickly debunked the nasty story going around that they were advertising on Beck’s show… except, well, um… actually, THEY WERE!

“In response to your August 24 blog, entitled “So who’s still advertising on Beck?
