A moby is a lowlife social reject who has nothing better to do with his worthless time than to come onto sites like ours and pretend to be Republicans while either a) acting in a way that is meant to embarass us, b) spreading D talking points to make us fight amongst ourselves, or c) just cause trouble.

It's named after some no-talent (presumably... people with talent usually have names instead of corporate marketing campaigns) 'musician' called upon his side to do the above, having recognized deep in his heart that the left is devoid of substance, of fact, of reason, or anything else upon which to stand and make a case.

It's the most blatant form of bad faith posting and gets an instaban.

I guess we should put you down as not voting?

Offer solutions.

Or stay out of the way.

{Bonus: Can you even name the only announced opponent to Blunt in the Republican primary? If you can, congratulations. You are probably in the 10% of Missouri voters who will even know who he is when it comes time to vote in the primaries.}

We do not need Roy Blunt or Robin Carnahan. These are old political families with old ties to the old ways of politics. No more ineffective politicians. If Roy Blunt was serious about representing us, he would be having townhall meetings all over the state. Where is he? Where is his opponent? Neither of them are out listening to the voters. They are hiding, playing political games.

You should have been in Atlanta to see Rep. Blunt on the Skype feed. Too bad he couldn't make it there in person. I was thrilled to hear Erick "pre-announce" this endorsement that evening. It is well-deserved.

Blunt will not have an easy time of it against (Where in the World Is) Robin Carnahan, but Missourians should realize that he is diametrically opposed to Barack Obama's socialist policies and Robin Carnahan's inevitable parroting of the TOTUS/POTUS's Marxism.

Let me assure people that Roy is a traditional common sense conservative.

No, his record isnt perfect, and he has posted here and directly told the district where the GOP went wrong. Then, he went to set things right.

I would challenge people to look into the legislation and the whys.

The orginal intent of the TARP bill was to be modeled after the late 80s S & L bailout program which would clean out toxic assets. It morphed into something else.

Whats more, for those who have forgotten, Roy Blunt and the House GOP was lucky to even get any negotiations and stopped elements like the 20% kick back to ACORN. People forget that?

Im guessing that some how people also forgot who actually wrote the bill. Right?

In the end, this endorsement pleases me not just because of the person or situation, but because it is well deserved.

There is no conservative option. That's my point. It's unfortunate that conservatives have to suck it up and support a big spending, big government "republican".

I'd love to see every "republican" who supported TARP voted out of office. I don't care if it's John Thune or Tom Coburn, they betrayed the country. They shouldn't be in office.

Big spending, big government=FAIL. Fiscal conservatism=WIN. The GOP needs to wake up and realize the party (and the country) is sick of the federal government *wasting* our money!

As for the good arguments for TARP... um, good arguments? 500 economists said it was a disaster. The only ones advocating for it were liberal economists. It should have been a warning to everyone when Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank were salivating for it.

FYI, I'm not a Steelbot. I'm not from MO, I know nothing about her.

No dice. First, remember that the House Republicans were the only group that opposed TARP - and that meant going against their party's President and in the face of threats that the world was coming to an end and precipitous stock market declines and everyone screaming that they would be held responsible for the destruction of America. Remember the total panic that the political establishment was in, and it was remarkable that the House Republican held out as long as they did.

Only under extreme duress did they yield, adding some safeguards which Bush in craven fear of his "legacy" failed to avail himself of, opening the door for Obama to abuse TARP to start his socialist revolution with thuggery against the banks who received TARP money and his using it to take over GM and Chrysler.

And the House Republicans have stood unified against Porkulus and the budget bill.

So your attack against House Republicans is totally misplaced as they are the group that that has stood strongest against Obama. Blunt may have chinks in his armor dating to when the Republicans had congressional majorities, but on TARP and subsequently, Blunt and his fellow House Republicans have been our best friends in Washington
