Cheney Was Right

Rowan Scarborough has the top story at Human Events today.

The CIA’s harsh interrogation techniques saved countless American lives by forcing al Qaeda chieftains to disclose a string of sophisticated terror plots to infiltrate the United States with cold-blooded killers.

That fact is established in two documents released Monday by the Justice Department, hours after they released the CIA Inspector General report which Attorney General Holder has used as a basis to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the CIA interrogators.

This won't stop Obama/Holder

The administration agenda:

Protecting us against terrorist attacks = ehhhh, big deal. [yawn]

Protecting terror suspects against interrogators who throw water in their faces = The most important thing ever.

Standard-bearer for grouchy curmudgeonry since, oh, 1975 or so.

People are dying in Iraq..

Where is the media???????????

You did know that the MSM quit caring about Iraq when Obama won, didn't you?

They never cared about the people in Iraq being murdered by their own gov. under Saddam Hussein, and they surely never spared a moment’s thought for our troops being killed there except to use the numbers as a club to beat George Bush with nightly.

Their total lack of regard for our military is demonstrated by the fact that they don’t report the numbers as they used to because it might hurt their Golden Boy.

That about sums it up.

Cheney played hardball and so did our CIA. I’m all for that. I’ve often wondered what the alternative was supposed to be re: interrogating these people. Asking Very politely, with sugar on top? Using our telepathic mind powers? As it turns out, it is apparently the first option – using ‘persuasion’. Perhaps we can promise them a private island.

It infuriates me that the fact that so many were killed, maimed and tortured, not just OUR men and women but their *own* people is apparently not relevant to the argument, at least for the Left. It amazes me that so many in the center are so naive as to believe that one can somehow win a war without being brutal. That is the very definition of willfull ignorance, imo.

We didn’t cut off any heads or fingers, no kneecaps were lost, no feet were burned, no children abducted and no family members disappeared into the abyss. All things they do. We scared them, made them really uncomfortable, deprived them of sleep, and did it to SAVE LIVES. But Chicago, Holder and the Left want to villify that effort. I will never forgive them for that, either.

Nor do I buy the fact that Holder is acting against Obama’s wishes. What crap. Obama is just keeping up the facade that’s served him so well, to protect his approval ratings. If there was ever a Pres w/control issues, it’s him. Czars, speciall panels, yadda yadda. Please.

You know, there’s a reason that ‘war is ugly’. It IS ugly. It’s cruel it can scar you for life, just as being, at worst, horribly un-kind to prisoners might haunt your dreams. It would haunt mine. But you weigh those dreams against so many that have been harmed by these people, and an Absolute Mandate that we protect our soldiers as very best we can, and you drop a pair and deal with the reality of a war against beasts. Just like Cheney did.

And you don’t wait six months while you decide whether to send more troops to Afghanistan or not, while the ones we have there die. 2010 is too far away, and 2012 is far too late. I want them out Now.

The More Cheney Speaks, The More Bush War Policies Are Vindicated.

I absolutely love the way Vice President Cheney darts in and out whenever these libs try to sacrifice hard working intelligence officers all in the name of rallying their liberal base.

The more Cheney speaks, the more foolish these liberals look. The more foolish they look, the better President Bush looks. Don’t those libs realize that every time they open their mouth on this subject, that President Bush’s history gets re-written to the positive….even in their own minds. Now that must really screw with their heads.

Bring out Liz Cheney for another round

Can’t wait to hear from liz again. Clear, concise and bull’s eye to those left wing loons.
