Obama HOPE vs Obama SOCIALISM

Loren Heal (Diary) Tuesday, August 11th at 11:10AM EST (link)Remember when Harry took to the floor of the Senate and declared ‘This war is lost’? As we later learned, that was Harry’s clever strategem to get the Iraqi people to throw off their Al Qaeda repressors. (Don’t stop me with your ‘facts’, I’m on a roll.)
Harry will now make a YouTube saying “This campaign is lost!”. That will lead the workers to throw off the chains of their corporate masters and other opponents of highly profitable shady land deals, leading Harry to eventual victory.
You watch.

DerKrieger (Diary) Tuesday, August 11th at 12:51PM EST (link)If you’re a Democrat and you’re fleeing a Democrat state because of taxes, regulations, poor schools, high crime, etc. then you shouldn’t be allowed to vote in your new state until you’ve been deprogrammed or have openly confessed your sin of supporting Democrats and swear to never do it again.
It drives me nuts that Liberals move to Red states and keep voting for the same kind of idiots that wrecked the states they just left!

You just want to ask them why they left Jersey – you know for economic reasons (i.e. a much cheaper house and lower taxes) but they’ll rely on the “great weather” rationale.

Swamp_Yankee (Diary) Tuesday, August 11th at 12:09PM EST (link)Interesting background here including the fact she was runner up Miss America (well its interesting to me). She’s also a union-slayer.
But good stuff. a presence like her would be vital on the national level. Dean Heller has sputtered for too long. Love to see her on the national stage.

jeffreywturner (Diary) Tuesday, August 11th at 12:18PM EST (link)It would have to be some kind of record to have 2 consecutive Democrat Senate Majority Leaders ousted at the ballot box.
Bouncing Reid only a single senate term after ousting Daschle would just make this right-winger’s day.

Got the link from a kos thread. Everyone who commented just attacked Bolton personally in disgusting terms, except for one who said, “Yeah, Bolton’s a ^%!$#^@, but he’s right about this.” Nobody else even mentioned his article.
Reid losing would be divine; even better if he was primaried out. Only politician I could not hold my temper around. On top of the dishonesty, venality, hypocrisy, etc, he’s dumb as a post and boring as broth. Same with Pelosi; they make Frist & Hastert look like Einstein & Newton crossed with Jagger & Richards.
STEVENS, J., filed a dissenting opinion, in which SCALIA, J., joined.
Reid's only been Sen. Maj. Leader for one term?
janis (Diary) Friday, August 14th at 4:27PM EST (link)Good heavens, it seems like forever. Same with Nancy. Same with Obama. They seem to have some occult ability to frak with time. One month of their governance is the space-time equivalent of 3 years as we here on earth understand time. Not to mention their equally irritating speaking style.
All in all, you’re right here. As to Frist and Hastert, it speaks of their incompetence as majority leaders that I initially couldn’t remember who preceded Pelosi and Reid while I started reading your comment. By the way, your forbearance with regard to Ms. Pelosi is commendable, but utterly unnecessary. We’ll think just as highly of you if you give up the pretense. Admit that you long to send her self-composed limericks dedicated to her many “charms” as a woman of accomplishments.
Whether you wish to point out to her that those accomplishments in other realms would be followed by the phrase ” currently serving X number of years for (pick any two) fraud, professional malpractice, misuse of public funds, theft, being ugly in public and having no scruples whatsoever…….” is completely your call.
LOL! Reid and Pelosi's terms are in dog years!

Dean Heller Out :(

The bench is pretty thin.
Vegas_Rick (Diary) Tuesday, August 11th at 4:15PM EST (link)Congressman Heller would make a fine Conservative Senator, but he lacks state-wide name recognition. I think he may have his eyes on the Statehouse. Sue Lowden would also make a fine candidate, but she’s the state party chair. Is it likely that she would run?
What’s scary, is I have heard rumors that Jon Porter may be the guy. I certainly hope Ms. Lowden has a better feel for the breezes blowing through the Republican party. Jon Porter is a RINO of the first order. If you Google the term, his face pops up. As a Congresscritter, he voted for EVERY spending bill and gubmint expansion measure. I simply cannot support the man.

janis (Diary) Friday, August 14th at 4:34PM EST (link)insist on a more reliably conservative candidate to be considered. Hopefully the events of this past 6 months of freedom-grabbing actions by the administration have politicized enough conservative-thinking citizens to make their opinions known. As Achance has often pointed out, it’s not typical of Republicans to get out and protest, to be willing to be loud and be considered as rude or unlikable.
Things have changed fairly abruptly, haven’t they?
