And it is worth noting that what is “dangerous” is not a picture of the President photoshopped as the Joker — what’s dangerous are Barry O’s policies for America.

Anything we can do (within the law) to knock down his public image makes it that much less difficult to fight his agenda. Hearts and minds are won with both ideas AND idiocyl. Mocking your opponent is often much more effective than engaging their ideas (Moe Lane knows this). it’s how you announce that their ideas don’t merit consideration. This is why Jon Stewart is such an effective tool for the left, and why Ann Coulter has a career.
Take a look at some of Robbie Conal”s posters from the 80s and tell me they didn’t plant some seeds in young minds about that scary Mr, Reagan.

The Democrats control the agenda and electoral outcomes dictate that Obama’s ideas WILL be considered. I’m of the opinion (which others seemingly disagree with overwhelmingly) that these sorts of distractions may ultimately bemuse the base, but do little to affect policy. As with the birther fringe, I categorize this as a distraction that only hurts us in the end. Patriotic….possibly. Effective, no.

There is nothing inappropriate about something this significant, especially when the other side is describing the poster as “politically dangerous and mean spirited.”
It is important to point out the hypocrisy. If we don’t, the left continues to get away with being nasty without being called on it and more importantly, the people easily forget how it went the other way, ie. the “the artwork” on Pres. Bush.
