Went to North Hall High School, in fact. I went home last year to visit my parents, and the lake was pitifully low. I mentioned it and that’s when I heard about the drought and the Army Corps of Engineers being such boneheads with the water. All over some so-called endangered species further downstream, what a crock.

We would then have part of the Tennessee River in Georgia, in which case I’m sure a pipeline from there to Atlanta would have been built already.

Pull up your favorite mapping software sometime and look at where the Georgia/Alabama/Tennessee borders meet (or just follow this google maps link); the Georgia border is maybe 200 feet from the river.

CA’s Central Valley is in. Georgia needs some more reservoirs that are not run by the Army Corps. We’re not having much luck in our fight with FL & AL, and now we’re about to pick a fight with TN over some Tennessee river water. Let it rain!

Georgia is just starting to come out of its second major drought of this decade. Plus with the bonehead federal judge threatening to take away Lake Lanier for drinking water, Atlanta needs all the water it can get.

I was trying to get registered yesterday (last minute, I know, but my July has been exceedingly hectic); I couldn’t get it to work from my browser so my gf registered me, then she tried to register but it wouldn’t let her register. Mostly I was registering her so that she could attend events if she wanted to, in any case. I guess we can clear this up later this afternoon.
