We were calling district offices yesterday. Today, go here to find the Washington office number of your Congressman.

Call him and tell him to vote no on H.R. 3200, the Democrats’ atrocious healthcare bill.

Called Rep. Welch (D-VT)....

Called his district office yesterday….they are pretty tight lipped about how many calls are for or against but they were pleasant. Rep Welch is still leaning in support of the Public Option.

I explained that I would love to be represented as well since I am a constituent.

We will see what happens.

Just think of what attention you get by an office staffer with a call of thanks.

You know Pelosi will be looking for arms to twist and you can catch more flies with sugar over broken arms.

Was told by an aide she didn’t honestly think it’d go to vote this week, but she took down my concerns. Told me that, due to the fact that the bill is still INCOMPLETE and, of course, hasn’t been read, there are many concerns that Mr. McHugh has with the legislation.

Thought about telling her that the same was true about the Cap&tax bill… but she was friendly, and, dammit, it’s hot here and my kids are all screaming, so I didn’t feel like pressing the issue. At this juncture. The letter I’m going to send in the next couple days will, however.

to ask is if they plan on signing themselves and their families up for the public option. Surely if it is going to be so wonderful, every member that votes yes would be more than willing to sign up themselves. They would probably bicker about who got to sign up first! What a show of support that would be!!!

Markey,McMahon, Murphy(PA),Schwartz(PA)

Was on the phone today calling Markey of Colorado (my niece lives in Littleton) , Michael McMahon-New York (another niece on LI), Allyson Schwartz-PA (my rep) and Patrick Murphy of PA who is too busy going after “don’t ask, don’t tell” to read the bill is a disgrace as an Iraqi vet. This guy had a freaking desk job and has the nerve to lecture those still in theater about gays in the military.

All of the call “screeners” were pleasant but seemed a little edgy except Murphy’s girl who let it slip that she agreed with me in a soft breathy voice. I guess this was to keep a low profile in the presence of others.

Also, called Casey and Specter’s offices just for good measure to make sure they have my opinion on the table.

Thank goodness for roll over minutes. It is the best way for those necessary calls to Washington!!
