State Rep. Kurt Schroder is running to replace Congressman Gerlach. He has a strong Conservative record, and I believe he will serve my district well. Please consider supporting him financially

In 2002, the PA GOP (PA is my home state) got greedy and tried to maximize the number of districts they had an edge (however small) in. This district was made just barely Republican enough for Gerlach, then a state Senator, to win it.

At the time, I thought the GOP was pushing it too far, and sure enough, as many areas of the state began to trend Democrat, a large number of Republicans sitting on originally barely GOP territory found themselves in big trouble. If Gerlach's seat switches, and we fail to regain Sestak's seat, than this will be the sixth seat we have lost in just one state.

The GOP shouldn't have overextended itself in PA. This was all very predictable, and all very avoidable.

It seems like every time I read the news the country is becoming less free and more liberal. I'm beginning to resign myself to the fact that I and my family will likely have to expatriate ourselves within the next decade to avoid living in a tax happy totalitarian Democrat state where marriage is a joke and abortion is the answer.

If Gerlach had retired in 2006 or 2008, I think this district may very well have been a 'slam dunk' for Dems.

But, with the political environment likely to be what it is in 2010, I'd say the GOP has a good shot, particularly if they can get a fairly prominent local GOP pol to run.

We need to keep fighting to prevent the made up ballots after all the last ballot is cast.

Since I grew up in Washington State and recently worked in Minnesota, I'm uninterested in watching electoral theft occur again.

In a democracy, sometimes the other guy wins. However, we should FIGHT them all. No one seat, not one race should be conceded at unwinnable. If you think you will lose, act like you will lose, run like you will lose, you will lose. The only way to win is to get in there and fight to the last ballot is cast.

in order to stop Toomey?

They started out pushing Ridge...and then Gerlach....Maybe they'll give it up and back the Republican who's already beaten the Democrat in the race once this election cycle?
