I am giving right after I finish posting this… After all, I can’t whine how we need more Conservative candidates and not support one in this instance especially since I’ve openly stated how I “understand” how/why the NRSC wants a Shoe-in win in FL (as a matter of National Republican strategy – Crist/Rubio discussion [multiple sub-links]) with Crist….. If nothing else comes from this, Rubio MUST (at least) constantly remind Crist it is CONSERVATISM that has people coming/looking to the Republican Party (and the GOP’s CONSERVATIVE Platform) NOT RINOism…. Crist MUST understand he is expected to be a PLATFORM RED-DOG and not a RINO.
While I’m not convinced (looking at it objectively, not from my Conservative heart) Rubio can/will go on to win the Primary and then be viable for the General, I HOPE HE CAN!
We cannot insist on the Party change if we do NOT fight WITHIN the Party (can one catch RINOvirus and/or Sit-It-Out) for it, but then offer some loyalty in return (same as we DEMAND from/of them) come General Election time and beyond.
And NO – No I won’t be contributing to Crist…. part of the whole points was/is that he shouldn’t need the help and has his own war-chest and/or ability to raise it locally.

But, maybe he should run for Governor. I think he would make a great senator, or governor, but Crist will not change his mind, he is running for senate. Draining the NRSC of cash because of their endorsement will not help. That money can be used to help conservatives in blue states, that if funded well, could win, like Chuck Devore in California. It could be used to dump Dodd. Push Reid. Get rid of Lincoln. Gain the VP’s former seat. Hold on to Gregg’s seat. Take Obama’s former seat. Take Clinton’s former seat. Hold on to Bunning. Think about the effect that money will have. Donate to Marco, but don’t try to drain the NRSC. It will just hurt us, and our country.
