However, one of the reasons that only 20-some percent of people now identify as Rs is b/c we don't walk the talk. George W. Bush was the biggest debt-and-spend president since Jimmy Carter. Attacking and attacking is part of the strategy, but should not be the MAIN STRATEGY. But they are not enough. We need to prove and emphasize that WE HAVE ALTERNATIVES to the Dems current economic strategies. Is presenting Paul Ryan's alternative manifesto enough? We can start with the group of the Remaining Republican Governors. We can make a case at the state level. We need a program where these Governors can exchange ideas and strategies in governance. WE NEED MODELS OF SUCCESS like Reagan's Golden California in 1970s. We have to show to the people that OUR ALTERNATIVE IS BETTER. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING AS A PARTY AND AS collective people believing in Conservatiive principles. That's the only way to defeat the Democrats in 2010 and Obama in 2012.
