Didn’t go to work, lived happily off family trust fund, established by great-grandfather’s coal mining business.

When you stop emitting CO2, you start emitting methane gas, unless you have yourself cremated, in which case you will emit a great deal of actual pollutants in addition to the greenhouse gasses.

Oh would but that humanity had never been created! That would have been our only hope.

But there was nothing I wanted to grill. I did burn up a lot of electricity today instead.

I want everyone to know I’m doing my part. My truck, a black H-2, my T.V., computer and radio have been running since 6 am.

Liberals just know how to take all the fun out of living.

So on this “Earth Day” I celebrated by getting some Tacos that help make some, errr, gasses. Then came home and spent an hour mowing the lawn with my nice John Deere tractor. And then, just for fun, I gave the kids some rides in my cart pulled by the tractor (my kids just love doing this). And finally, I moved some garbage that’s been sitting behind my house (old trampoline, desk, and some other junk) to the street for tomorrow’s trash pickup — with my tractor.

I feel like I need to burn something, but alas don’t have anything readily available.

I hate some healthy vegetables most likely grown in a genetically altered and pesticide controlled farm. I drank water from my faucet. Drove to work, played on the computer, watched TV.

And what is the greenie next door doing? Probably nothing … since just about anything breaks the “I’m being green” code — except for just plain smelling funny (can’t bathe ya’ know).

Back in those days Farmers had to haul water out to the far away pasture tanks when the wind didn’t blow.

Maybe if I would buy a tire pressure gauge and hang it on the wind mill we will have some voodoo wind created.

6am…. Dunkin’ and coffee in a styrofoam cup……. a real big styrofoam cup.

The current jobsite is 33 miles from my house….. the company van gets about 13 mpg.

Work: Added all sorts of particulates to the at the school air by drilling numerous holes in 1970′s construction concrete. Built out a steel conduit run for surveillance camera cables. PVC jacketed cable pulled in the conduit – I made sure there was “a bit” extra just so I could almost fill a dumpster with the overage.

Lunch….. Got in the van and drove the 1-1/2 blocks to a really good pizza place. I simply had to drive, know what I mean ? The restaurant was “celebrating” earth day as well. At least the TV’s there with FNC on had tags that said “happy earth day – FNC is what we watch here and all beverages today are served in styrofoam cups – no exceptions.” I ordered an extra drink and tipped heavily with a big smile and great conversation.

After work, went to see my parents at the nursing home….. that added a decent chunk of miles for the ride back to my place.

Stopped at a store on the way home to buy a few packs of drinks with those plastic carriers holding the bottles together…. I don’t normally drink sodas, but hey…. commerce is commerce and the plastic-bottle-hold-together-thingy has always been a fav item of mine on earth day.

Got home and turned everything on….. everything…. and it’s all still going (laundry, dishwasher, a/c on 66 degrees, both TV’s with the audio systems, etc.).

I’ll be cleaning my firearms in a few minutes with some really great USA-made solvents and rust inhibitors and then lubricating the slides and actions with a very good USA-made synthetic anhydrous grease.

Later this evening, I may go take a ride “just because” and “accidentally” leave everything on in the house.

Sadly the earth religion of the left has successfully invaded the schools at every level and every subject. Math and English textbooks contain this nonsense. Even the materials provided by the Cub Scouts is tainted with this trash.

I believe we should be good stewards over the resources we have available to us. However, placing plants, animals and fictional theories above common sense demonstrates the foolishness of the egalitarians now wrestling for complete control of our country. Lord have mercy on this nation.

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent
terrorist threats in Islamabad and have raised their
security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.”

Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to
“Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” Brits have not been
“A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but
ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from “Tiresome”
to a “Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a
“Bloody Nuisance” warning level was during the great fire of
1666.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised
its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide”. The only two
higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.”
The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed
France ‘s white flag factory, effectively paralysing the
country’s military capability.

It’s not only the French who are on a heightened level of
alert. Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout
loudly and excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two
more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and
“Change Sides.”

The Germans also increased their alert state from
“Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing
Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a
Neighbour” and “Lose”.

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual,
and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling
out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines
ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass
bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look
at the old Spanish navy.

Americans meanwhile are carrying out pre-emptive strikes, on
all of their allies, just in case.

And at a local level…

New Zealand has also raised its security levels – from
“baaa” to “BAAAA!”. Due to continuing defence cutbacks (the
airforce being a squadron of spotty teenagers flying paper
aeroplanes and the navy some toy boats in the Prime
Minister’s bath), New Zealand only has one more level of
escalation, which is “Shut, I hope Austrulia will come end
riscue us”. In the event of invasion, New Zealanders will be
asked to gather together in a strategic defensive position
called “Bondi”.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from “No
worries” to “She’ll be right, mate”. Three more escalation
levels remain, “Crikey!’, “I think we’ll need to cancel the
barbie this weekend” and “The barbie is cancelled”. There
has not been a situation yet that has warranted the use of
the final escalation level…

to be “environmentally conscientious”? I can sign up for “Green Power” offered by TVA for an extra $4 per month. Why? Isn’t my electric bill high enough already? I can have my waste service pick up my recyclables every other week for an additional fee (or I can drop them off at Kroger’s when I go grocery shopping anyway). I can buy those cute little curly q compact fluorescent light bulbs, but they contain mercury, which is an environmental contaminant and is hazardous to human health (as opposed to carbon dioxide, which is a normal component of life. You need to really, really be worried if you stop emitting carbon dioxide. It mean’s you’re DEAD.)

You want to make an impact? Give a discount for some of these “initiatives” instead of taxing us more for them, and stop lying to the US about why you’re doing this. We’re not nearly as stupid as the libs think we are. Don’t get me wrong. I believe we all have a responsibility to be good stewards of our resources. But I believe that is so much more rewarding and effective if that comes from our own hearts and not from yet another government mandate.
