Are you actually serious? This is the FATHER of Gov. Palin's grandchild and Bristol Palin's son. Do you really think by doing this you are showing family values that conservatives like us are supposed to espouse? Does he not have the right to free speech to discuss his relationship, or is that only after his story is "vetted" by campaign managers first? He went ON HIS OWN WILL on the show to discuss his relationship. You think you know more than him about his own relationship? Or is it bc YOU think it could be potentially damaging to Palin. Oh wait you say, "I don’t have a dog in the fight for 2012, but if these people were coming after any of the potentials I’d be defending them too." So he should shut up and only Bristol and Gov. Palin can talk about their relationship. Playing the "left does it all the time" card does not give you a free pass. Also no one judged him by his clothes. It seems like you like being the elitist showing a picture of him with a gun and casual clothes and think it's a bad thing. "Just good old boy who knocked up the Governor’s daughter." Nobody made Levi go to the convention. He expressed interest in doing the honorable thing and marrying Bristol / being a father to their child. What went wrong is irrelevant. He’s cashing in on his 15 minutes, so he has again put himself in the spotlight. Levi denies he’s white trash, but he embarrassed the unwed mother of his child, his mother’s a meth dealer, he proudly wrote about his trashiness on his Myspace account… now his sister turns out to have his name tramp stamped on her back.

That just ewwww. And Levi Johnston made this an issue.

this entire thread is an embarrasment to Red State. I appreciate your support. I can’t believe how many times I had to explain my position over and over. I can’t believe I and others were called stupid, haughty, ignorant, sniveling, unhygienic, among other epithets. this for simply saying we think republicans have more important issues at hand.

I finally saw the video and do find Levi’s family to come off as dolts. It is funny he says nothing while the sister takes control. I still don’t see how this affects our freedoms that are being eroded daily, in fact it furthers my point that I don’t think Palin is all that. Does anyone here think trashing these hicks will help us? do you guys think the Dems will agree Palin is superior or will they say, look at who she lets her daugher copulate with?

I regret this diary ever happened and I regret posting in it. It makes me have less desire to come here as frequently. I am too busy trying to take care of my own family, manage investments in this horrible economy, and defend the freedoms I hold most dear.

they do not look like responsible gun owners, they look like stupid kids playing with guns. I took a lot of heat in this thread but stand by my original post. The post was very clear, it was my comment that A) I did not follow the Palin saga and B) I personally predict that she is not likely our next candidate. That is all I said.

I regret that all that followed because I responded to Ericks general post calling people pathetic. I asked Erick if he included my post and did not get a response from him, then all hell broke loose lol. I have explained my position over and over and there is nothing more to say. I am clearly a partisan and believe we are in a serious fight, as does Erick. I will fight the left wing smear machine, in fact, I have been doing that for a long time.

The Story Behind the Interview: Tyra and the Left were spinning the real issue. Levi and Bristol are practitioners of SAFE SEX, not ABSTINENCE. Tyra has just highlighted that Safe Sex is NOT SAFE after all. That's the morale of this story. Sarah and Bristol viz. Abstinence: In short, Sarah is right. Abstinence is kool and the ideal that the kids should strive hard for! Too sad that Bristol, like any rebellious children (including me), didn't listen to her mother. The experience of this Mom-Daughter pair is the best example of the real advantages of Abstinence. Backtracking Reagan: This issue of Sarah vs. Safe Sex reminds me of Reagan viz. Abortion controversy. In the end, Reagan became a stalwart opponent of "Abortion-on-demand". I pray that Sarah will become an activist for Abstinence. To my own mom: I LUV YOU MOM!!!!! Sorry for not listening to you "all the time" when I was a kid. I realize you've always been right. To all kids and teens out there: IT'S MOM ATTACK. Cherish your Conservative moms. Listen to them whenever you can. It's for your own good. Their dignity and their principles have been under the attack of the MSM and Hollywood drivels 24 hours a day. Parting words to this issue It's a really a great day to re-start advocating for Abstinence once again. Thanks to the Real-life lessons imparted to us by the Palin Family. My respect for Sarah still remains.

None of the articles I’ve found say what his tribe and clan background is; that could be important in Tlingit dominated Juneau Indian politics. His wife Mary is a Yupik Eskimo from Bethel and a former Democrat State Representative from Bethel.

Anyway, the Downtown Democrat Peoples’ Committee is muttering about how he’s not experienced enough politically, so I doubt the Democrat Senators will confirm this nominee either. I feel the hand of the new AG in her taking that position on the open vote, so with only two weeks left in this year’s regular session, I seriously doubt Districts 3 and 4 will have any representation in the Senate this year, not that District 4 had any representation when Elton was still here.

Suggestion not meant to be aggressively critical. Just something I’ve had to do from time to time that seems like it might be a good idea this time considering the significant difference between the meaning and the what was received…

I wish the media would let this story go. It is a very private matter for the Palin family and has no business splashed all over TV, newspapers, and magazines. It is unfortunate this young man has decided to cash in on his ties to the Palins and that media is playing it up. This is so not a story.

I know my daddy would be fighting mad if an ex-boyfriend did what Levi is doing. And my dad is old school Italian. He’d have a few choice words with Levi in the back of some abandoned warehouse. It would not be pretty.
