Me and my dad are going to attend one in Delaware tomorrow (April 15th) at Noon in Laurel. The basic rule is to keep your cool; let the leftist loonies do what they want and don't respond to any provocation. Show 'em that you're a grown man. Besides, the worst I expect is that some of 'em will be saying inappropriate things about my departed mother or trying to get my clothes dirty.

If you're going, it's a certain way to see just how many of us really are fed up with the abuse of our government, the system of confiscatory taxation and counter-productive regulation and the self-annointed nabobs who're pushing it. From there on out, let's work on overturning this bin of loonies. First, the US House of Representatives, state and local and local legislatures; next, the President, state and local executives and, in a few more terms, the Senate. Flip 'em over a few times (prevent incumbency from setting in), rinse and repeat. They'll get the message.

If we keep that voting finger ready, we shouldn't have to do this too many times in our lifetimes. Just be sure to educate your kids so that they know they'll have the power, as well...

If it falls on Tax Day (Wednesday, April 15th), it takes place on my new "weekend," which you can thank the major banking institution for which I'm contracting that has its cozy little relationship with our so-called "Democratic" government for. Not that I mind the hours, but if they're going to try any of what I've seen being floated by President Obama, Secretary Geitner and the Pelosi-Reid Congress, there's a chance that I'll either be out of work or have too much work (and no more vacations). As I see it, it's my opportunity to see just how many of us are out there who haven't yet allowed ourselves to become just another of the government's "housepets"...

I just found this page today that lists all states with organized tea parties: http://www.taxdayteaparty.com/
I signed up for the Charlotte party newsletter but their thingee didn't work for me. http://charlotteteaparty.webs.com/.

I hope to attend - originally I thought my corporate overlords would frown on this event but given that their bonuses are going to be taxed 90% I would think they would encourage us to roll out to support.

Ideally I will bring the kids since it's their kid's money we're spending on stupid crap.
