Sadly, Steel has drunk the Kool Aid and thinks that “The POTUS is the same as the entirety of the American People.” Call it a slip of tongue or whatever, but Michael Steele is really in concert with the Liberal meme that:

• if President Obama fails, the rest of the Americans fail.
• The converse of the first is not true: If American fails, it does not necessarily mean the failure of the President. Stock market can go to the gutter, but the liberal President will remain high and mighty in the White House.

This is really career sabotage for him. Better for him to resign NOW.

What does “Well, I’m here now” mean? Does he really think that he’s like Obama now? Does he think that conservatives really do have “the Idol worship” thing and looking for a savior in the mold of Obama?

The main blunder of Michael Steele is really arrogance!!! In the same interview, Steele claimed that he was now the Head of the Republican Party. Is that consistent with the by-laws of the Party? I don’t think so. That’s a big lie. Now, please don’t tell me that Steele is planning now to run for POTUS and challenge the Big O? I will just vote for Bin Laden as the next POTUS after Obama if that will the case.

If Michael Steele stays as the RNC Chairman, everything that the RNC press releases says will be “DISHONEST” to the people. Doesn’t Steele read the materials being disseminated by his staff? All those press releases are all anti-Obama, thus, they are also incendiary and ugly, in accordance to Steele’s standard.

Now, I see the RNC e-mails for support and donation like this:

“Hello, it’s from RNC of Michael Steele, Head of the Republicans. Please donate to the Republican Party. To be clear, WE WANT THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO SUCCEED BECAUSE WE WANT AMERICA TO SUCCEED. We are different from that Commentator who wished that Obama should fail.” But conservatives like me want the misguided and wrong policies/agenda of Obama to fail miserably before the eyes of the American public. Will that encourage the real Conservatives to help the RNC? I don’t think so, unless Steele cleanses the RNC of himself.

Michael Steele has really destroyed the momentum made by the CPAC and the recent Tea Party activities of many conservatives.

I truly do not understand. It’s sad…I mean I’m not a particularly aggressive or confrontational person by nature but if you’re going after my beliefs and likening them to Nazism, you’re going to get a verbal beatdown. I am not a Rush fan, although I do agree with about 90% of what he says. I thought Steele was going to be more inclusive, but his recent statements against the LCR’s proved otherwise. And this is the best we’ve got?

Back in 1994, at a ceremony honoring him, Rush told the 73 Republican freshmen about the press corps, that “you will never ever be their friends. They don’t want to be your friends…This is not the time to get moderate. This is not the time to start trying to be liked.” He told them that if they stayed “rock-ribbed, devoted, in almost a militant way to your principles, you will continue to be sent back here until you’re term-limited out.” He also advised: “Say what you believe, with passion and bravado, and you’re going to offend half the people who hear it,” but that is the mark of effectiveness.

This message needs to be told to the likes of David Brooks, David Frum, Michael Steele, and many others. It has nothing to do with egos. Republicans in the House got the message from Rush again just prior to the stimulus vote, and not one of them voted for it. We all know what those 3 moderates in the Senate did.

Yes, Democrats will win again in 2010 and 2012, not because of what you said, but because they know how to be devoted in a passionate and militant way to their principles. And they don’t care about offending anyone. Look at Schumer telling us that the “American people don’t care about pork”. And he gets away with that. I won’t bore anyone with other examples. We’ve all heard them.

Your headline would certainly give the opposition party more ammunition in trying to divide the Republican Party. This is not what we need, now. I submit that Rush has a better pulse on the state of the party, and what it needs to do to get back to its 1994 prominence.

Kissing up to the Obama agenda simply because he is popular at this moment is foolish. Obama’s star will quickly fade along with his failed policies. I doubt he’ll be a serious contender for the Dem nomination next race.

The MSM will NEVER give the Republican’s an even break, so don’t do interviews with them. Bypass them, go direct to the people. Declare the MSM as irrelevant. Laugh at them, elite liberal snobs cannot stand it when you refuse to take them seriously because they do not have logic or history on their side, only academe, and diplomas.

Seeing all this in a defeatist way is just what the other side wants-to divide, weaken and destroy us. I was bothered by Steele’s response, but I can’t throw him under the bus yet.

You really need to look a little more into the politics of the left, and avoid them at every turn, or at the very least have the intelligence to know you are in enemy territory, and have a willingness and determination to defend your own party. If you believe that Rush is an “attack dog” you have no clue what it is to be a Conservative, and, I must then determine you to be a “squish” at best. I

I personally know Republicans who are black, white, Chinese, Indian, Russian, poor, rich, in prison, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Hindu. Most of them wouldn’t feel comfortable in the homes of each of the others, but that’s okay because we all share similar dreams and ideals.

He was a Black gentleman who spoke about energy and the extreme environmentalists and politicians, and their attack on the poor. He gave an outstanding speech, the audience was very responsive and we were wondering why we don’t hear more often from these speakers.

The party doesn’t need to look for and recruit Black people, or any other race. Those that believe in Conservatism, of any color, need to step up to the plate and run for elected office, as Conservatives or at least Republicans. You have a voice here against what you believe is obviously racist, then get in the game, denounce what you don’t believe in, work to change the perception, but, at least try to promote the best of the best of the Blacks.
