So the contact email address is getting inundated by people sending links to Drudge’s top story — the CNBC call for a modern Boston Tea Party over Captain Bull Crap’s crap mortgage plan.
People respond viscerally to this. They might not had Porkulus not overreached. But it did. And now there is this.
Most people bought their homes responsibly. They bought what they could afford. Some people tried to take advantage of the system or did not think ahead. They’ve gotten burned.
No one wants to bail out irresponsibility, which is exactly what Captain Bull Crap’s plan would do.
The result of Obama pushing forward with this could be transformative societal change against him with the middle class in revolt.

Now these folks are not true left wing, union loving socialists, but nevertheless they have been, until now, outspoken Obama supporters. They know enough about how business and the financial system functions to know how wrong these recent efforts are. They are also frustrated with his lack of clarity and apparent confusion Obama has expressing his policies.
One of these guys (he runs a medium sized, still successful hedge fund) is downright scared about the competency of the Obama administration. He was a huge donor during the campaign and is now pulling what hair he has left, out on a daily basis.

Erick is right…people feel this in a very visceral way, and we may have reached a tipping point. And Santelli will be fine; I’m finding that CNBC is providing the only real scrutiny to the massive debt this administration is incurring with some very misguided and dangerous policies.

Overall, CNBC is shining the light on Obama’s empty programs (if you can call them that…..) and they have been relentless. Aside from policies that are misguided, team Obama comes out with initiatives that are poorly defined and lacking in details; if questioned, they simply reply that “these things are being worked out”.
Larry Kudlow’s new show, “The Kudlow Report” is teriffic….and as you see from the clip, Squack’s Mark Haines is also great: hammers these people, and refuses to take any of their BS. Other good free-market reporters on the network are MIchelle Caruso-Cabrera, and the very best of all, Charlie Gasparino.
Watching these CNBC professionals each day reminds me of two things: (a) that Obama’s blind ideology has kept any business leaders from positions in his administration (which is their loss), and (b) the private sector will always be the engine for building our country: profit is NOT a dirty word.

1. That is Easter Sunday weekend. So a large number of people will be traveling to be with their families instead of to DC to protest taxes.
2. That is the end of the Cherry Blossom Festival. That day is filled with Cherry Blossom events, including the firework show. Logostics will be a nightmare, I doubt we would be able to get a permit with everything already going on. Even if we could get a permit, it would be difficult to tell us apart from the masses just because of the sheer number of people.
What about April 18th?

Hell I will call Gathering of Eagles and Protest Warrior to get involved and see if they can get the Rolling Thunder to participate.
I believe those last group of people will want to participate because everything they have fought for is being turned into a socialist society. I am telling you guys we can make this HUGE but we need to firm up and have at least a 6-8 week start to get all comers involved!

1. We pick May 16th as the DC protest day. It is the Sat. prior to the Congressmen and Senators heading home for the Memorial Day Work Period.
2. On a local level, groups can get together and protest at the cityhall or townsquare of the city/town where their congressman or senator resides. Maybe on the 23rd or 30th? It mostly depends on their politican’s travel schedule… if they want them there.
3. This will give us 12 weeks to get organized.
4. I will step up and take charge of the DC permit since I live in the DC area and have a schedule that allows me the freedom to spend all day with the DCMPD if I have too. We will need individuals on the local level to check about permits in their hometown as well.
5. As JadedByPolitics mentioned, we can make this huge. But that means that we have to get everyone we can involved. Our politicans, our activists, our friends, our families, our co-workers, our supporters in the media (few as they maybe), the local media, etc. in on Both weekends! We will also need to recruit leaders for each of the congressional/hometown rallies.
I listed the work periods/breaks of the 111th Congress below. July and Aug. are just too far down the road. April is too soon and would be a logistical nightmare.

Should Burris be forced to resign, Santelli would be a great candidate in the event of a special election. How many people (a) are this media-saavy, and (b) have an understanding of, and career in finance and economics? Now that people have seen the damage that amateurs can do in only 4 weeks, they might be ready to send a professional/business person to DC.
This was the first time since Gov. Palin’s convention speech that I’ve been truly excited by a public figure, speaking to the issues that concern us.
