Brian Darling, Derek Hunter, and I have fired up a new project: a RedState response to Barack Obama’s weekly address to the nation.
We’re not sure if we should call it a weekly radio address or a weekly youtube address — what exactly is he doing?
In any event, we take him on paragraph by paragraph.
One note on this episode: Toward the end I call Obama what I call him behind the scenes here at RedState, which necessitates a small profanity warning. But you’ll be warned to turn off the podcast before you get to that point.
So listen here or go to iTunes and download to your iProduct. And enjoy.
Here’s a hard link to the podcast.

For those of us who don't like proprietary software...
fmaidment (Diary) Saturday, February 14th at 9:11PM EST (link)…got that in non-iTunes format?

MP3 is an open format Fred
Neil Stevens (Diary) Saturday, February 14th at 9:13PM EST (link)And so is AAC, but this one’s in MPEG 1 Layer 3 audio:

I saw "iTunes..."
fmaidment (Diary) Sunday, February 15th at 12:43AM EST (link)…and assumed I’d have to use iTunes (AAC)…
As I basically rejected the original proprietary format, I have paid absolutely no attention whatsoever to any changes over at Apple, even going so far as to buy a Zen by Creative (which IMHO is much better than the iPod).
Have they made AAC a non-proprietary format now?

AAC always was open
Neil Stevens (Diary) Sunday, February 15th at 1:12AM EST (link)It’s Fairplay that’s not open, but RS doesn’t use that.

NickDeringer (Diary) Saturday, February 14th at 10:06PM EST (link)Good work guys. Keep this up and you will draw the wrath of the Obamulans. They may try to extend the Fascist Doctrine to include more than talk radio and restrict mp3s as well.

Good work
kaybugs Saturday, February 14th at 10:51PM EST (link)I really enjoyed listening to your response to pino’s weekly indoctrination.
As I was listening, I was watching Fox’s Special about the 1 Trillion with a “T” spending bill.
In that show, they said that the Dems had over 100,000 people call Snowe, Collins and Specter, telling them to vote for the bill.
It seems we are gonna need a bigger army for the Senate.
Thanks for your hard work here!
I am really going to miss Mark….God Bless him and his family.
Thanks
Brian Darling (Diary) Saturday, February 14th at 11:20PM EST (link)That was fun. The Red State Revolution has begun. Please post suggestions for the next podcast.
What a great idea!
slangenheim Sunday, February 15th at 12:46AM EST (link)I really enjoyed your radio address and will certainly look forward to them all. Since I cannot personally stand to hear Obama speak (most adults I know speak in sentences that flow, not jolt after every word) having you comment throughout his “speech” helps enormously! Keep up the great work!

Mine came over Media-Player, no downloads needed.
They say Republicans are for the rich, Democrats are for the poor.
If they need more voters,
then they have to make more of who they are for.
