That was a great video....

I still think Mr Anuzis is one of the top choices, if not the top. Again I will say that I think on substance he won the ATR debate. Either way the vote goes I hope the new RNC Chair has a place for Mr Anuzis on the team.

Why I support Saul...

rcov092 (Diary) Thursday, January 15th at 7:42PM EST (link)

real early this AM, I posted this endorsement of Saul. http://the41stvote.org/wp/2009/01/featured-5/

I decided to support Saul over Ken Blackwell because the Republican Party needs “Disruptive Change” in order to devise an Internet and New Media strategy to make us competitive. I am degreed in Computer Information Systems, so I admit to some bias, but it is clear to me that the technology interface from the GOP to the grass roots, is at present “Dead”. I also feel that Saul’s unique origins make him someone that can start to bridge the gap with the Reagan Conservatives that was so important to the Party.

Ken Blackwell would certainly make an excellent Chair, I just feel at this moment, Saul could bring the specific leadership to address the most glaring disadvantage we have against the Democrat Party at this moment. I hope Ken remains deeply involved and I would love to see him run for President. His leadership is sorely needed by this Party.

Do the Directors still think Blackwell then Duncan?

Mark Malcolm (Diary) Thursday, January 15th at 8:23PM EST (link)

I would respectfully suggest The Directors should rethink that statement/endorsement and at the very least go with Blackwell/Anuzis as one two and then ANYONE else over Duncan.

Duncan needs to be taken out with yesterday’s refuse as far as I’m concerned. Yes, I understand he wasn’t given a fair shake due to time constraints, but I didn’t hear a peep out of him about ANYTHING that didn’t tote the moderate party line. Nope, I can’t support him. Sorry Erick, Moe et al.

I may not agree with what you say but I’ll defend your right to say it to the very death.

House cleaning required ASAP

Bobcat51 Friday, January 16th at 12:07AM EST (link)

The Republican party is infested with enabling RINO’s who are sucking up and doing nothing to stop Obama and his merry gang.

Every day that passes is a day nearer the next election ; the Republicans need to be ready to promote its core values to an electorate that could be suffering from Obama Fatigue after 2 years of his fluffy words and zero substance.

The party requires serious house cleaning with McCain and Graham top of the list to be put out to grass.

We require the likes of Palin and Jindal to lead the party out of the wilderness to fiscal sanity.Washington DC has an elitist pox about it and is out of touch with the real middle America!

I hope Saul can make that difference.

The left wing intent is to destroy the existing society and replace it with a society of its own design.

At first, I was skeptical

andysmith (Diary) Friday, January 16th at 12:19AM EST (link)

but now I think Saul Anuzis is the right man for the job.
If, by some chance, Duncan is voted back in, I may register as an Independent.

No Duncan

maddog (Diary) Friday, January 16th at 8:48AM EST (link)

No more of the same. Duncan must go. Anuzis and Blackwell are compelling. Too many good candidates for chair to have look backwards. RNC has failed us the last 2 cycles. Bobcat51, Mark Malcom, and andysmith are right- clean house.

What happened to VCAP?

maddog (Diary) Friday, January 16th at 9:29AM EST (link)

Saul is right about technology. What happened to the Virginia Conservative Action PAC? They used to have a site http://www.vcap.org. I just went to visit it. Now I see the domain name expired at Dec 31st.

I’m tired of reading posts on this site where people say their state GOP is a joke. We even saw it as recently as yesterday with a comment on the MO Senate Roundup. We saw it in IL when we lost Haster’s seat. While criticism of the state parties may or may not be acurate, there is no denying we need to get our acts together. Granted, VCAP is not a part of the party appartus, but it is symbolic of the dry rot and whitering that is going on in our side of the ideological aisle.
