He will start ACTING conservative oh around 2012….I tell all my friends pay attention to the first 2-4 years for Senators and 6-10 months on Congressman IF you really want to know where they stand on the political spectrum. I have not trusted this man since the amnesty debacle and he will be right on board when it comes up for a vote…..he has a 6 year lease on Senate life and will probably not run again….its not like he is getting any younger.

I would like to see the ability to RECALL Senator’s!

I am looking for a leader in the mold of Ronald Reagan who will redefine this party as having four guiding principles:

1. A strong defense.
2. Traditional values.
3. Free enterprise.
4. Limited government.

Our current leader has failed the party in adhering to all of these basic principles. Unless and until we find the person capable of carrying this message to the American people as the core Republican beliefs, we will remain in the wilderness. Obviously, no RINO’s will qualify, and any of them who choose to obstruct should not be welcome in the future Republican Party.

Mitch McConnell voted against this bill and urged other senators to do the same. There was a low attendance because folks were upset about the Sunday vote (Reid’s fault), but McConnell did the right thing. End of discussion.

One week before The One comes to town, and we’re going to bully one of our own? We’ve got to learn to pick our battles, team. Conservatives as a movement are in for a longer, harder fight than any of us have dreamed if this is the way we’re going to use our energy.

In the big picture, this is not the end of the world. Let’s stop crucifying one of our own–and then commending him, and then crucifying him again–and focus on organizing around the real battles that lie ahead. The Democrats are already fighting amongst themselves over Obama’s stimulus plan, and there’s more bickering to come. Let’s shed some light on that. Let’s arm ourselves with the research we need to fight Ledbetter, card check, socialized health care, and the rest of what’s to come.

That was the biggest surprise to me. Guess he is keeping his run for reelection in 2010 at the forefront.

The Republican Party is in the Wildnerness, and 12 Republicans just voted to literally keep themselve there.

The person I talked to, at the end of the day, didn’t have the strongest sense of what was going on. But I didn’t know that until after the fact.

It’s pretty clear that Mitch was not actually as engaged as he wanted people to believe.

I think he is playing both sides. What can we do to such people? Their must be a way to raise the cost of dishonesty( in terms of career) for such people on our side.

It’s part of the reason the “You have to vote for him because _____!”

a) we need to keep a majority/filibuster margin in the House/Senate
b) his opponent is even worse
c) now is the time to pull together, you should have primaried him instead of waiting until now.

lines are wearing thin.

What worries me the most is if our elected Republicans don’t vote people like McConell out of the leadership positions from which they are p*ssing off the base, it will be another 40 years before there will be a Republican in a majority leadership position. You’d think that would be the one thing that would get their attention, but it isn’t.

Why should any of us should be shocked at what Mitch McConnell does? He’s one of the reasons why the GOP is in the hole their in, and will stay there unless there’s radical change in how the Senate Republicans are led. And this applies to House Republicans as well with John Boehner. They both presided of double GOP election disasters and act like they were successful; the time has long past for Congressional Republicans to turn the page and relieve these two of their leadershp posts.

The Truth is, with people like this and McCain in the senate, the democrats had a filibuster proof senate even when they only held 45 seats.

The leaders of this party have learned nothing, or as I am coming to believe, are more like democrats than we ever suspected.

Where is the Gang of 14 now that we need them?

I’m sorry this guy was reelected. It seems the only way to get rid of these RINOS is to watch them fall to the democrats. We ought to be smarter than that. But after watching the republican party operate for 40 years, I know better.
