The man overseeing the Senate recount, Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, was also endorsed by Acorn, and his election campaign in 2006 was funded in part by something called "The Secretary of State Project." This latter group, founded by MoveOn.org's former grass-roots director, exists solely to install far-left candidates as secretaries of state in swing states.

It’s hard to believe I’ve only been here for six months. I’ve had a great time, and I look forward to many more great times here on RedState.

The next four years are our time to rebuild the party, get back to basics, and build up our cause for 2012. We cannot let Obama win a second term.

Looking back, I want to thank Erick, Neil and the “faceless Directors” for getting RS3 up and running. And especially thank Neil (as I’m sure EPU would agree) for his excellent work with the RecList.

Looking forward to 2009 and hoping that Republicans will find spines, a small government philosophy and the willingness to fight 24/7. I’ll miss Dick Cheney and … nobody else.

Hopes for Condi Rice to be NFL Commissioner (so we don’t have to talk about her POTUS candidacy anymore), and maybe a Senate run for John Bolton. And sincere hopes that we never hear the names Mike Duncan or Chip Saltsman again.

I’d have to say Rogers was an awesome surprise. What a huge talent. I expect him to only get better the next few years as he gains experience. The future looks bright for the cheeseheads.

Aaron Rodgers can’t play defense. You’ll note that Brett Fav-uh-re is sitting at home as well, but that’s mostly his fault for throwing a ton of ints this year. The Packers defense seemed to take the year off, though not nearly as bad as my Broncos’ _efense.
