Allow oil companies to explore/drill in United States so when the world economy recovers, oil doesn’t start spiking again, causing gas to go up, thus driving down sales of autos that Americans want to buy and drive (trucks, SUV’s, vans, etc.)

Stop causing artificial shortages of fuel.

When;
-There is a complete ban on lobbying for the entire industry,UAW and all their trade groups; no loopholes

-There is a ban on all political contributions, PAC’s, etc. from all parties above

-They make it illegal to collect/use union dues for political purposes

-When “Card Check” is killed, forever

-Congress takes a pay cut

-The CAFE standards are dropped and auto industry regulations are completely overhauled

- The “czar” (I love the appropriate anti-democratic nomenclature) has the authority to immediately suspend any government regulations, UAW rule/contract stipulation etc. as they see fit.

-The “tsar” is not a current or former politician, union member, lobbyist, lawyer or acolyte of any political persuasion. Lee Iacocca gets my vote.

Then, maybe this gets my investment dollars.

Thad? He gets the seat next to Susan Collins and the other false prophets.

This “the sky is falling” as a reason/excuse to push through bad policy and throwing bad money after good is ridiculous…

I am AGAINST any plan that does NOT remove the burden of Govt. OFF the auto-makers, not pile more burdens and controls on!

Even though this is part of some previously committed $25 Billion, I would consider support if it took away the stipulations of increased burdens it was/is to impose. We are not getting that… We are getting more…

The only “good thing” I’ve perceived from any of the discussions (I know Thaddeus personally, worked with him on other peoples campaigns and he worked with me on one of my campaigns) is that this “Car Czar” notion would be someone appointed by Bush and that Obama would have to live with to be the final “decision maker” on if the funding continued. TROUBLE IS that we cannot trust Bush to appoint a PRO-BUSINESS / ANTI-GOVT meddling person to be that Car Czar….

SO I STILL OPPOSE THIS!!!!

(additional disclosure: My Father is retired GM… and he and my Mother rely heavily on that GM pension … AND STILL I OPPOSE THIS! Shame it may be the “best” that will come out of DC… The additional Bailout money that will go to the Big-3 next year under Obama will impose still/yet MORE bad-business driven “requirements” of them.)

for the good people of the United States to get relief from a bankruptcy court for their good friend the credit card folks……you see Congressman McCotter you all make it hard for hardworking folks who see medical bills kill their future to get relief THEY ARE NOT “to big to fail” and then you come to those same fine AMERICANS and take their hard earned money in the form of taxes and expect them to BAILOUT your cronies, you know those who are supposedly “to big to fail” and whine and cry (Boehner comes to mind).
