At some point in your life you might think your old man is just full of it, and want to run off with a girl to some far-flung city and really show him how dumb all those things he taught you when you were a kid really are. Because you know better. Because he’s a crusty old curmudgeon who doesn’t understand the way things are today. Think again and, don’t do it. Your papa is a good man and he’s right. In the fullness of time you’ll come to understand that too, even if you think you know better now. Remember how good he’s been to you all these years and think twice about all the things some people are going to try to teach you in college. A lot of them are brilliant, and a lot of them mean well, but a lot of them are very, very wrong, too. Good luck and remember to respect your mother and father. As part of my plan to return the Kidnapped lawn jockey to it’s rightful owners, I am soliciting a painter to return it to it’s original state with a mocha tan.
