The media gush-fest continues, and is getting truly sickening. Two outrages that I picked up on this week:

1) CNN reported last night (Friday) that yet another person (affiliated with the Boston Celtics) has reported being bitten by Barney, the ferocious White House Scottie! PEOPLE–has it come to this? The loony left’s hatred of President Bush is leading them to attack a small dog??? For what it’s worth, I’ve had Soctties for 15 years without one such incident; the breed is very reserved, and they don’t bite unless taunted or attacked.

2) Perhaps the low point came during Tuesday night’s edition of “Law and Order, SVU”, where producer Dick Wolf continues to use the show to advance his own leftist social commentary. This episode attempted to mock an “abstinence club” at a Catholic H/S, with a story line of four girls who agreed to rebel by getting pregnant. The scheme gets discovered; one of the girls, confronted by her parents screams,
“what’s wrong with getting pregnant? That vice-president lady’s daugher did it!” This is the cheapest shot I can remember against Gov. Palin, bar none.

Looking ahead, the more the media and/or TV shows attempt to demonize conservatives and glorify Obama, the higher his expectations go. And the higher the climb, the worse the fall, when people ultimately realize that the Emperor has no clothes. So media bias? At least for now, have at it.

I did not see that episode of Law and Order, but that is despicable. I saw a program like Law & Order(can’t remember which one) that also tried to soften the issue of “death with dignity.” The message was clear; kill of the people that don’t matter anymore.

In regard to the original post, I think the print media is desperate. The Obama-fest has given them a little bit of revenue and they are looking to cash in on more. I quit taking a newspaper years ago. With cable news and the internet, why bother? I feel I am more informed with these two sources of media than a newspaper.

I can only speak for myself, but I rarely even walk by news stands anymore. If I do, and see a headline, I go home and google it.

I didn’t know how else to ask you a question, so I am asking it here. I noticed your name over at ReformTheParty website. Is anyone monitoring that site. Some of the language and comments are so gross and beyond lewd it is attracting only the loons. And, the worst of the radical Ron Paul goons have taken it over.

As nice as it is to sell some extra copies, the papers have greater issues that Obama can’t really help with apart from outright subsidy. People don’t want to read their product, people don’t like the format, and in this game it is only two strikes and you are out.

I talked to her earlier in the week, and she immediately brought up Redstate and Operation Leper. She told me specifically to tell you hello.

I know this is OT, but it is faster than finding an open topic.

Media bias played an admitted role in Barack Obama’s victory and that has now been attested to by several prominent people including the ombudsman of the Washington Post.

And they have also shown that they’re profiting from the bias.

They have absolutely no reason to call for the reinstatement of the “fairness doctrine.” If their blatant bias gave a boost to “right thinking people” (to paraphrase the Washington Post, and the newspapers were able to make some money off of that, the last thing they should be asking for is government intervention into their business.

It’s a pure Milton Friedman case. Government intervention is wrong, even for the liberals.

I guess it’s not out of line for the media to expect reciprocity.

Obama & Oprah will team up to create the O channel – All Obama , all the time.

He will outlaw every other media enterprise.

Very Easy. With dwindling sales, ratings and profits, the mighty “O” will nationalize them to keep them solvent. The content will be the same since they already are reporting with the accuracy of Pravda, just we will be paying for them through our tax dollars.

Spikes of this nature, while rare, aren’t unique. And experts agree that even Obama’s journalistic appeal won’t solve print media’s decline in the long term. “You see spikes whenever there’s a historic event,” says John Morton of Morton Research Inc., the veteran newspaper analyst. “This was probably at least the equivalent of the ones for the end of [the world] wars.”

Oh man oh man oh man! End of the World Wars? Is the hyperbole getting just a bit overblown? I have just got to meet one of these ‘experts’ some day…

This has all become such an “Alice in Wonderland”, where you have to run faster and faster just to stay in place. In the article they expect this to continue at least to inauguration. Personally, I don’t think that there is enough energy in the system to sustain this worshipful exaultation that long. As I recall, the youth were supposed to overwhelm the voting system in armies of exuberant new voters, too. That turned into a yawner.

We should encourage this hysteria in every manner that we can, so that it will burn itself out that much more quickly, for a speedier return to rationality.

I am a big fan of the show been watching it for years, but after seeing that episode and then bringing up Sarah Palin by saying “Well the VP’s kid is gonna have a baby so why shouldn’t I” Was deplorable. The media is scared to death of Sarah, they mock her family, her hair, her clothes, her glasses, her voice, everything, and I wonder to myself “Why” why do they hate this woman so much and I think the answer is simple, she is a conservative, she is pro life, she is pro gun, but what really ticks off these liberals is that she is HAPPY, do you all notice that when they interview her, she is happy, not sad that they lost, she is a happy woman, she is a great life, great kids, great family, a great job, a gorgeous house in a beautiful state, she has everything that these liberals wish they had, and they are absolutely JEALOUS of her, yep, its that green monster that keeps on coming up, straight up jealousy, but the media hates her because she is still, to this day, a HUGE and I mean HUGE threat to Barack Obama, an even bigger threat then Hillary Clinton ever was. The media saw Hillary as a threat in the beginning, they got rid of her but they can’t get rid of Sarah, they call her “stupid” “religious nut case” but she won’t go away, they know, that she will run in 2012 if she sees that she has a chance to win. The media knows that no matter how great they will portray Obama in his presidency, because believe me, whenever Obama does anything, and it could be totally wrong, they will say he is “brilliant” and a “genius” but soon enough people will see that they were conned by this guy, and yes I mean his own supporters will begin to see the light and that is what the media is afraid of. They love Obama because Obama IS Jimmy Carter, heck even worse, and they LOVED Carter, so they know that Sarah is just like Reagan, never backs down, speaks her mind, gets rid of corruption in her OWN party, they are TERRIFIED of her. Even if Sarah wins in 2012 along with Bobby Jindal, another guy the media hates, they will have so much to do to fix things because under Obama, we won’t even recognize America anymore once he is done with us. It’s a scary time, the media died this year, they want the Fairness Doctrine which they will get, we are SO gonna be screwed

…..figuring out how they will spin it to their best advantage when Obambi and Company, the chief apostate, walk in for a friendly chat with Ahmadinejad et al and Khameini and Co and the Persians end up cutting the Obambi’s private parts off, handing them back to him and then stapling them to his lips. All figuratively of course.
The event will make Neville Chamberlain look more like his successor, Winston Churchill, than ever before. “We will fight on the beaches….”
They danced in the streets of London and Paris the night Chamberlain uttered his inane “peace in our time” statement upon his return from Munich. Winston Churchill was a pariah, hiding in the darkness of the political alleyways. Two years later the British people were begging him to save them.

I read an AP headline this morning that there is a big increase in hate crimes since Obama won the presidency, and they are happening everywhere from CA to Maine.

There were 50 some million voters that said no to Obama. The admitted tremendous bias for Obama throughout the campaigns have incited alot of raw emotion as so many in the media have made him appear as though he is some kind of God. They have gushed and swooned over him. Now there are going to be commemorative issues everywhere devoted to his coronation. And, now we are seeing advertising for Obama collector coins. The amount of attention he is getting is unprecedented.

I’m sure there are still many who are racist and bigots and etc., but, I think there are just as many that are more than angry at where he has promised to take the country. His own arrogant attitude about his supernatural powers will be his undoing. What will the media say then- He wasn’t the person they knew?
