The margin of error on independent polls show that Marshall leads by only 4 points, which happens to be the margin of error. The race is likely to be decided by turnout in Goddard's home county vs. the city of Macon.

African American turnout has been exceptionally high in early voting in the state, which may be why the polls are leaning towards Marshall. It is important to note that Marshall has been trying to ride Obama's coattails, but has not endorsed Obama. If most of the AA vote was informed of this they would be less likely to vote him back into office.

Learn how you can help win this important battle.
