is that she wouldn't need the extra office space in Anchorage if she'd actually stay in the Capital, Juneau. She's rarely here except during the Legislative session, ninety days beginning in early January. Few of her commissioners even make a pretense of either working or living in Juneau.

Willow, a spot in the road after which one of her daughters is named, is the spot chosen back in the '70s to which the capital was to be moved. The People have several times since then either refused to pay for moving it or outright rejected moving it. Yet, hope springs eternal in the giant sucking sound called Anchorage that they can get the capital moved to ANC de facto if not de jure. Under Gov. Palin, they've pretty much succeeded. The de facto capital move and the fact that a disproportionate share of her capital budget cuts that she so likes to brag about came in Southeast Alaska are the reasons she's not so well loved in SE.

it becomes a scandal. So it is to the current electorate. Somewhere in America liberal voters are seething in rage over this, bloggers are posting their filth and fury over this latest assault on the Constitution and our freedoms. Everything, you see, is an assault on both.

First thing that came to my mind was former
Governor Blanco of Louisiana spending $400k on her official digs, right around the time of Katrina, no scandal, no problem.

I wonder what Jefferson would say about today's depraved media.

but talk of a SaraCuda run in 2012 is counter-productive, not because this election isn't actually over, but because we can and will do much better in 2012 with a true revolution Jindal/Pawlenty 2012 -Now that excites me, and for all the right (non-emotional) reasons.

as firing employees under your control or being scrupulous and making sure your kids' transport costs are documented properly.
Since when has a Governor not been able to fix the Governor's mansion or accommodate staff effectively?
The Obamatons are a true joke.
The media takes to political control like ducks to water.

Watch the Anger, Eric,the Anger.

The thugs that work for THE ONE will have you attending anger management classes for the next four years, then thought retraining classes for the four years after.

Freedom of speech dies on January 20th if McCain looses. It will take a little bit more than throwing a few bales of tea over the side of one of his majesty's ships in Boston Harbor to gain it back.

...but that would have gotten their panties in a wad, too.

So $50,000 on paint & miniblinds in a government office is a big deal, but $7,000,000 on faux Roman columns is much-needed Change!?
