SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A St. Louis television reporter says a story he reported last week about Barack Obama’s campaign forming a “truth squad” of prosecutors has been twisted out of context.

Republicans, including Gov. Matt Blunt, and conservative talk shows hosts have sought to portray Obama’s use of prosecutors as campaign surrogates as a form of intimidation to squelch free speech.

But the KMOV reporter who first reported about two St. Louis County prosecutors joining the truth squad says “in the retelling of the story, it got out of control.”

“If they think a group has put out a misleading ad, they’re basically going to call a press conference and say the ad is misleading,” reporter John Mills told the News-Leader on Sunday. “I’m sure the Republicans would do the same thing.”

In his TV report, Mills said the prosecutors “also say that they plan to respond immediately to any ads and statements that might violate Missouri ethics laws.”

But a top Republican National Committee official acknowledged Saturday that the Democratic prosecutors from across Missouri “haven’t specifically said” they would use their prosecutorial powers on Obama’s behalf, which is confirmed in Mills’ report.

During the recent primaries and this election cycle, it seems that we have now entered the Twilight Zone. At any other time, the MSM would have been all over stories such as the ones we are hearing about 1st ammendment rights abuses. Remember when the Left’s panties were in a wad because of the so-called “wire tapping” being indulged in by our Government to protect our country from foreign terrorists? Now, Obama’s Truth Squad threatens, intimidates and bullies anyone with an opinion with which they disagree–thereby compromising all of our civil rights. Besides, what’s the hurry? Even if foul play does get confirmed before the election, you think a single Democrat voter will care that her candidate went after a private citizen with illegal means? While the media’s game changes depending on which letter is beside a politician’s name, it seems Obama’s game hasn’t changed much at all. He’s always been consistently inconsistent.

If anything, people will be more blatant. If we have another Civil War, I wonder if anybody has advised him, the military we have now, will shrink to nothing. Or, how the left would be stepped on like a bunch of bugs. People that are normally conservative, are only voting for him , because they don’t know any better. However, they’ll learn it quick if that happens on a larger scale. Something that anti-American, wouldn’t stand a chance in hell in this country. Time has passed, but Americans are still Americans. And, that’s not something to even joke about. I wonder if the left, secretly wants to be outlawed eventually? More and more people are sticking to their guns and religion like no other, these days. Law enforcement, or the Guard can’t enforce anything, when they all go home. Ask any American to enforce made up rules from a communist that goes against everything this nation was built on or we fought and died over. Against their own families, and I’d be willing to bet, they tell them to get screwed. Go ahead, left, try to take America. Make the rights day. The military doesn’t like you anyway, along with law enforcement.

Maybe Joe the Plumber should run for president next time around. He seems to be generating as much buzz as either of the candidates, and he’s surely more qualified for the job than Bush ever was. Not to mention, as a plumber he’s experienced in unclogging a lot of shit–something the Republican party is pretty full of these days.

That’s if he even exists.

Speaking of buzz, I’ve been reading a website that’s measuring buzz on the blogosphere as an indicator of who’s gonna win this thing, http://www.perspctv.com , and apparently all you red staters obsessing over Obama the Commie and Barack Hussein the terrorist are only adding to his popularity, since the more comments you make about him, even nasty ones, the more free publicity he gets.
