Spread the Wealth=economic redistribution=SOCIALISM!

Lwyrett (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:16PM EST (link)

Yea!!! He brought up our good friend Joe ~ and “spread the wealth” ~ do you think he should have brought it home with “spread the wealth” is “economic redistribution” ~ which is SOCIALISM?

~ ^-^ ~

sure

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:19PM EST (link)

but did you hear what he said about not being Pres Bush? Good stuff. Looks like he may be fighting tonight.

Ewww

Badill_T Wednesday, October 15th at 8:23PM EST (link)

McCain opposed Iraq? I thought his support for the war, while not “mavericky”, was a sign of his foreign policy experience.

I get the feeling the debate will not improve my disposition.

what are you talking about?

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:27PM EST (link)

He said he opposed the way it was being run. Now BO has just totally avoided the question that was asked. Wouldn’t even answer.

“Four more years!” “Four more years?”

Obama is a broken record tying McCain to Bush. His campaign can be distilled to just three years.

Referring to his push for the surge

Lwyrett (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:28PM EST (link)

McCain pushed Bush for the surge, and for the dismissal of Runsfeldt.

"Mister" Ayres??????

Lwyrett (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:36PM EST (link)

Mr. Obama ~ “Mr.” Ayres is a terrorist. [and didn't you set around and schmooze about socialism on your breaks at those Board Meetings?]

Schieffer has had better questions than I expected

Finrod (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:39PM EST (link)

I’ll admit I liked the ‘Will you sit here and say the same things your ads have been saying?’ question.

Let’s get down to brass tacks here. How much for the ape?

Finally!!

darryn02 Wednesday, October 15th at 8:44PM EST (link)

McCain is knocking this one out of the park! He came in ready for a fight!

i liked that one also

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:47PM EST (link)

seriously tho, can BO answer a question? Has anyone ever heard him answer a question?

SURVIVING IN WYOMING…

He's 72!

Incredible (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:49PM EST (link)

And he’s dancing like Casius Clay out there! He looks and sounds light on his feet and Obama looks as stiff as a board. Obama can’t get off of his talking points.

McCain is mopping the floor with Obama. Finally.

now Bush is responsible for NAFTA? gee, and I was sure it was Clinton …. or, but I am wrong …. Roosevelt was president when the 1929 stock market fell … ‘cuz he went on TV to tell me so!!!!

Ok everyone

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:52PM EST (link)

Why do we care about how the gov’t in Colombia runs? I mean, of course i care about other people. But because of how that gov’t runs, we cannot trade with them? And improve our economy?

SURVIVING IN WYOMING…

IIRC

Finrod (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 8:59PM EST (link)

Bush Sr. proposed NAFTA originally; Clinton opposed it during the 1992 campaign, then after being elected turned around and promoted NAFTA and got it passed.

yup, me again

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 9:01PM EST (link)

so, BO keeps saying that health ins is 12K per year to purchase your own. I pay for hlth ins for my family. It cost me about 6500 per year. I have no problem with that. I don’t want the gov’t mandating my hlth care. Do you?

Did you all hear

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 9:03PM EST (link)

Sen McCain slipped and referred to BO as ‘Sen. Government’? Too Funny!!!

Who are all these brain-dead women in the CNN focus group who keep dialing down when McCain is making some of his best points and demonstrating where his plans are better than BO’s?? Interesting that the men consistently go in the other direction!

Education

Terilyn Donaldson (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 9:21PM EST (link)

Statistics show that the earlier a child starts school, the less actual education the child receives. And now he is going on about how Sen McCain will pay for the voucher system. How can he ask something like that? When all he (BO) wants to do is spend, tax, spend, tax……..

theBlur (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 9:26PM EST (link)

I wish he did, he had many opportunities to hit the Obamassiah out of the park

Unfortunately, his Senate training has caused him to back off. I am not really happy, as John has had many opportunities to kick this little you-know-whats butt, but has backed off on each opportunity, and jumped back on issues that do not resonate all that well.

John has done decent, but not the home-run I hoped for. And Bob Schiefer has allowed Obama to have the last word way too many times, and has interrupted John too many times when John was trying to make a point. He (McCain) should have carped a bit more about that, but I think that is what our problem is with nominating a Senator. He thinks this is just another Senate debate, when it is a Presidential campaign.

I am no longer convinced that McCain can win, as he has a problem showing that he can stand up to a pi$$ant like Obama.

IMHO,

Pretty funny

chefspike2007 Wednesday, October 15th at 9:26PM EST (link)

The Senator government line was pretty funny, whether planned or a slip.

Well, at least McCain finished stronger. I only caught the last half of the debate but I think he did a much better job this time.

He seemed more focused, more action-oriented and more at ease. A much stronger performance.

To carrying a rifle. Senator Obama is not the first person to suggest a tax credit for college education, assuming that the graduate does a few years of some kind of community service.

Not really...

College costs: Obama failed math

GregInFla (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 9:44PM EST (link)

BO says that you can get $60,000 in costs for college, then says he’ll give people $4,000 credit towards school for a YEAR in public service. $4K a year?? What math class did Obama take? Are folks so stupid to give up a year being an Obama brownshirt is worth $4K?

Good show for McCain

HOOS30 Wednesday, October 15th at 9:51PM EST (link)

I’m an Obama supporter, but I have no problem saying that McCain had his best performance of the three debates tonight. To my ears, the “Joe the Plumber” device worked well for him, even if I disagree with his policies in general.

I don’t think there were any game changers here, but I’d give it to him on points.

On another note, Schieffer was on his game tonight and I think he did really well.

Ali won with a rope-a-dope strategy

bk (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 10:02PM EST (link)

And so did Obama.

Krauthammer summed it up perfectly – McCain would set up Obama with jabs and open the door for a knockout punch — and then just walk away.

McCain isn’t willing to get dirty enough. It’s a shame. as I think he’s going to get smoked in November. Obama can lie more glibly than anyone I’ve ever seen, and people are just mesmerized.

As for economic crisis

GregInFla (Diary) Wednesday, October 15th at 10:07PM EST (link)

There is tape saying that the mortgage industry was just fine in 2005 when Bush and McCain tried to impose more oversight/regulation on Fred’s Fannie. So, if all was fine there, according to Barney and the other Dems (we have tapes), then the problem came about in the last three years, and the Dems had the power over the last two. So, tell me, who’s fault is it?

I too think that Senator McCain did well. Unlike you I do not support Senator Obama, he’s a bit too redistributionist, and a bit too statist for my tastes. I support Senator McCain because he supports individual initiative and enterprise and wants governments to intrude less and intrude less harshly than what Senator Obama does. Regardless of which man wins, I suspect that he will have far more challenging economic, social, diplomatic and military environment to govern in than anyone imagined.
