During last night’s memorial in Arizona for the dead and wounded, Barack Obama claimed that Gabrielle Giffords opened her eyes for the very first time moments after he had left her bedside.  Of course, the audience cheered with the revelation, and Obama beamed in response.

There’s a bit of a hiccup to this story.  This morning as I listened to talk radio, I learned that The Sonoran Chronicle had published a story over the weekend, well before the memorial service, in which a doctor mentioned that Giffords could open her eyes and respond in other ways.  However, doctors were keeping her heavily sedated to control swelling of the brain.  I Googled the internet to search for that or any other article on this, and simply used the keywords “giffords eyes open sonoran”.  Google immediately returned a link to The Sonoran Chronicle, but when I clicked it, the article had indeed been scrubbed from the newspaper’s website.

This certainly gives the appearance that Obama’s miraculous revelation to the audience was staged to enhance his image.

Someone’s got some ‘splainin to do!

We all know our taxes are going to skyrocket thanks to cap and tax, health care costs, etc.  As a result, a lot of Democrats and their high-ranking supporters will make a ton of money by picking our pockets.  Al Gore comes to mind.  Surely, Gore et al. have plans to protect their windfall profits from the IRS.  What about Pelosi, Reid, and of course Obama?

How will they shelter their wealth?

Who among us can find the answer?  I don’t know where to begin looking, but I suspect someone from RedState does.

With the inspiration and help of a legal blogger referred to as jbjd, citizens in Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia have for many months been filing citizen complaints of election fraud with their state Attorneys General against Democratic Party officials. These states have election laws which explicitly require political party leaders to certify that electors or candidates are constitutionally eligible prior to placing candidates’ names on the ballot.  Other states may have similar laws, so citizens in those states should begin investigating their laws to see if they can follow suit.

These citizen complaints of fraud do not argue whether Obama is, or is not, a natural born Citizen.  Rather, the complaints argue that Democratic Party leaders failed in their legal duty to ascertain the eligibility of Barack Obama before placing his name on the ballot.  Evidence of their failure to ascertain his eligibility is cited within each state’s citizen complaint. Thus party leaders’ signed and notarized certifications, stating Barack Obama is constitutionally eligible, are claimed to be fraudulent.

These citizen complaints of election fraud put political party leaders on notice, because it means a growing number of citizens will be more vocal and more actively involved when the next presidential nomination process begins.  Furthermore, these citizen complaints should inspire all state legislators to amend their current laws, or write new laws to improve the process for placing names on the ballot.  Keep in mind, though, State legislators do not have the constitutional authority to define the meaning of the term “natural born Citizen”.  That is not the purpose of these complaints. However, legislators do have the authority to determine the process for placing a candidate or an elector’s name on a ballot.

At the very least, these citizen complaints should make it difficult to place Barack Obama’s name on the 2012 ballot.  At best, if one or more of the state Attorneys General will investigate these citizen complaints, jbjd argues that through a legal action called mandamus, party leaders who signed the certifications can be ordered to declare that Obama is ineligible to be placed on the ballot.

State Attorneys General have the discretion to respond to these citizen complaints, or to ignore them.  To date, none have opened an investigation.   However, if hundreds more citizens, or better yet, thousands more citizens were to download the citizen complaint forms for their respective states, add their name and address, and fax the forms to their Attorneys General, jbjd says there would be a greater likelihood that one or more of the AGs would open an investigation.  Because this is a hot-button issue that AGs may be reluctant to investigate, they need to feel intense pressure from their constituents before they will respond.

What does a narcissist want more than anything else?  Attention!

Count me among the many who are seething with anger with President Obama and Democrat members of Congress for bludgeoning the American people with unimaginable debt, which will have to be funded with unimaginable taxes to pay for health care and a host of horrible statist ideas.

Like you, I want to viscerally express my outrage, and will continue to do so with protest signs, in writing, and in graphics for as long as these people hold public office.

However, a calmer voice has suggested another way to show our contempt for these power-hungry politicians.  The idea is simple, yet humiliating for the recipients.

Remember the arrogant way in which Speaker Pelosi, with gavel in hand, and members of the House, uncharacteristically marched through the middle of the tea party protestors?

Remember how the crowd angrily shouted “Kill the bill!” at the representatives?

Remember how the media used this situation (setup) to portray tea party participants as racists, bigots and homophobes?

Think about this for a moment.  When an Alinskyite bully taunts us, and we verbally respond in front of the cameras, aren’t we playing right into the hands of the statists and their sycophant media?

What if, instead of yelling slogans and waving signs, the tea party members had immediately recognized an opportunity to humiliate the representatives simply by turning their backs on them?

What if the crowd had turned around, folded their arms, closed their eyes, and had become completely silent as the arrogant members of Congress marched amongst them?

The answer is that Pelosi and her cohorts would have been frustrated and humiliated by the silent treatment.  Their mission to taunt the crowd would have failed miserably.

Power-hungry narcissists want to be noticed, even if they are held in contempt.  When the right opportunity knocks, whether that occurs during a demonstration, at a townhall meeting, or on the campaign trail,  I say we should refuse to give these Democrats our rapt and angry attention, because that is exactly what they crave from us!

Occasionally we should let the statists feel our rejection with the weight of our silence and our unwillingness to make eye contact with them.

Teach them that in our eyes, they are persona non grata.

I’ve just created a new survey of TV news commentators on the major networks. This is your chance to give them the grade you think you deserve.  If news commentators were elected by the public instead of simply hired by the networks, I suspect a large number of these individuals would be booted out in 2010 along with their friends in Congress.  Since we can’t kick them out of office, we can certainly tell them what we think of them.

Whether we win or lose our battle with President Obama and the Democrat Congress, I hope we never lose sight of the man who lit the fire under our feet.

We’re not allowed to mail rotten tomatoes or garbage to our foolish lawmakers, so if you’re angry, here’s a small substitute.

Feel free to download this image and mail it to your lawmakers to let them know what you think of their unconstitutional attempt to take over the entire health care system in the U.S.

ANYONE who votes in favor of such a bill, whether directly or by using deem and pass, deserves the wrath of their constituents. They should be put into medieval stocks, and then thrown out of office in the next election.

President Obama’s Annual Performance Evaluation

Anyone taking the time to read these words already realizes that the U.S. Constitution is in danger of being totally corrupted by our representatives in Congress, and especially by President Barack Obama, who ironically specialized in constitutional law!  I fail to appreciate the humor in that irony.

This dangerous situation did not happen quickly.  Over a period of many years Congress has proposed laws that do not comport with the U.S. Constitution, and with so many of those laws left unchallenged, they have eroded the founding principles of this country.  These unconstitutional laws are like a flood that erodes the course of a meandering stream.  In the early stages of the process, you don’t notice the erosion, until one day something floods the stream with such unmitigated force that the stream becomes a fast-flowing river going in the wrong direction.  Barack Obama and this Congress are like that flood, knocking down every constitutional principle we believe in.  They are destroying our Constitution and our country through legislation as surely as a flood destroys a stream.

It is up to We The People to build some dams to prevent further destruction of the Constitution.  To that end, I have a proposal to make to my readers.

My primary purpose here is to enlist your help with the development of a Resolution that encourages political candidates to take a constitutional literacy test as a prerequisite to running for any elected office.  My first draft is available below.  Your suggestions are welcome.

If you like the resolution as written, then feel free to bring the document to the attention of local media, online blogs, your political party leaders, and of course everyone you know who shares your profound concern.

It will require a groundswell of grassroots support for this concept to capture the public’s imagination, and then to become a reality.
