Fars News Agency in Tehran has reported that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force allegedly hacked into the US Army’s Command Center and gained control of “seven or eight” US drones. According to the report, “Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh disclosed on Thursday that several US aircraft that were constantly flying over Syria and Iraq were under IRGC’s control and their first-hand intelligence was being monitored and retrieved by his forces after penetrating into the US command center.”
Hajizadeh said, “Seven to eight drones that had constant flights over Syria and Iraq were brought under our control and their intel was monitored by us and we could gain their first-hand intel.”
The footage below shows IRGC’s penetration into US Army’s Command Center, one of the many proofs in support of General Hajizadeh’s remarks.
The footage shows a US flying drone starts malfunctioning and makes a rough landing in a desert area 10 kilometers away from its base.
The US troops avoid approaching the malfunctioning drone as they are not sure who is controling the aircraft, and hence send a manned aircraft to bomb the drone.
The footage that displays the IRGC’s penetration into the US spy drone’s intel has been recorded by an IRGC drone flying above the scene.
In 2011, Iran shot down a US army RQ-170 Sentinel. From the wreckage of the US drone, Iran’s military was able to reverse engineer their own version of the aircraft which flew it’s first mission in 2014. Unlike the US RQ-170, Iran’s replication “has been equipped with bombing capability as well.”
The Telegraph described the US RQ-170 as the CIA’s unseen “eye in the sky,” capable of beaming back a trove of imagery and electronic intercepts.” The Telegraph reported:
The aircraft was shown beneath an Iranian flag, apparently intact after crashing 140 miles inside the country last Sunday. State television claimed that an electronic attack had forced it down by overriding flight systems. American officials acknowledged the loss of the aircraft, but said it was more likely the drone had simply crashed.
Russia and China immediately seized their chance to gain a unique insight into one of the world’s most powerful intelligence assets, asking Iran for permission to inspect the drone. Surveillance flights over Iran by CIA-operated aircraft of this kind have been taking place for several years, using bases in neighbouring Afghanistan. Iran’s nuclear installations are believed to be the prime target.
In 2013, Hajizadeh said, “Iran moved as much as 35 years ahead in building drone engines by reverse engineering of the US drone.”
According to the Fars report:
Iran has downed a collection of US drones, including Scan Eagle, Raptor, M-Q9 surveillance. The range of the various types of US Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) downed by Iran has now amounted to a dozen, and it has started reproducing them immediately after conducting reverse engineering. Several squadrons of these robotic warriors are already in mission.
Zerohedge and Global News TD have reported on the Fars News account, however, there has been no verification from the US military regarding the incident.
