MSNBC Panel: Targeting Of Young Women Of Color By 'White Male' GOP Is 'Not A Good Strategy,' Let Me Tell You Why You Are Wrong

As liberals struggle to defend the “young women of color” who are rapidly taking over the leadership of the Democratic party, their rhetoric has gone from partisan to insane.

MSNBC’s Craig Melvin and guest E. J. Dionne of The Washington Post discussed the dangers to Republicans over their criticism of Reps. Ilan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Melvin began with a Politico article entitled “Superstar freshman Dems replace Pelosi as GOP targets.” The writer tells us that this “strategy risks backlash for a party that’s struggling to find support from women and people of color…it is a move of desperation.”

“Republicans are hoping that these congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Ilhan Omar will help them rally their base heading into 2020,” said Melvin.

Dionne weighed in:

The idea that the Republicans would use three women is just not a great look for them. Three younger women is not a great look for them. But I think we have to bear in mind that historically, there have always been so-called or real left wing boogeymen, now women for Republicans.”

Richard Nixon built his political career at the beginning attacking a congressman called Vito Marcantonio who was a left wing congressman from New York City. Just like AOC is. And he tried to tie all his opponents to Marcantonio when he ran for congress and the senate way back when. Ted Kennedy’s name was invoked regularly in the Republican mailings. They always raised a lot of money off them and then they did it to Pelosi. I think this is a kinda weird guilt by association. I don’t think it works very well. I think the risks they run with these particular members, young and female, are very, very high for them.

What is behind the Democrats’ circle of protection around these three “young, eager, innocent” women?

The bottom line is this: Democrats are trying to intimidate Republicans into remaining silent about these “young women of color” so they can quietly gain control over the US economy. Failure to act in the face of this monumental Democratic “power grab” would be a surrender to socialism.

These women are hungry for power. We can underestimate them at our own peril.

These intellectual giants to whom Democrats have offered their full support, have provided us with more than sufficient reason to warrant our consternation.

AOC does not fear Nancy Pelosi. When the opportunity presents itself, she will gleefully push Pelosi aside. She makes no secret of wanting to replace current moderate members of the House with those who share her political views. She appears everywhere all the time. When we turn on the television, there’s AOC rushing up to a podium, walking into a room greeting her adoring followers. It almost makes me pine for the days of Hillary Clinton.

These are heady days for the freshman Congresswoman who was a complete unknown less than a year ago. AOC, in office for one month, has now proposed the most enormous seizure of power in US political history. She is not innocent. She is calculating and dangerous.

Perpetual victim Rashida Tlaib lamented in a tweet that her voice has been “shushed and reduced” because she’s a woman of color. From day one, when she announced, “We’re going to go in and impeach the motherf—er,” she captured the attention of the American people and has held it.

Regarding Omar, her anti-Semitic tweets took center stage earlier this week.

No member of Congress receives more media attention than AOC, Omar and Tlaib, not even Nancy Pelosi.

AOC, Omar and Tlaib are offensive, aggressive and they are seeking to turn America into a socialist nation. Republicans must continue to resist their proposals, thwart their attacks on free enterprise, and criticize their anti-Semitic rhetoric. The color of their skin is irrelevant.
