Do you think media coverage in the U.S. is biased? Do you want $50 for Amazon.com for just 15 min. of your time?

Many people feel that the media can lead people in different ideological directions. We are Smith College students in a Senior Political Psychology Seminar and we want to invite you to take our survey. We are investigating the relationship between media coverage and political information. If you take our short, confidential survey you can choose to be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com. If you are interested follow this link to Surveymonkey.com

Abortionists TODAY are "medical practitioners whose skill and experience are not properly vetted." In addition, the conditions in many abortion centers are not much improvement over back alleys.

Regardless of funding, it's no "safer" legal than illegal, either for the woman or for the child.

want this so bad, because it contributes to Eugenics. That, is one of their main goals , as Judge Ginsburg said, roe vs wade keeps certain types from breeding. leaving open, exactly, who are the types they don't want to breed. Why , I guess its the mob, the gun and bible clutching, Pelosi described as Nazi's middle America that are apposing their dismissal of the Constitution, and personal freedom's, Our so called Representatives and Senators We have sent to Washington, supposedly representing our views, are dismissing us.

So its time to increase the unemployment rate in D.C. in 2010, remember to vote, but especially " Remember next November." They count on us, losing heart or forgetting.

It was once true in the past, before Roe v. Wade, that poor women were at risk for either having to bring a bay to term or take their chances on a medical practitioner whose skill and experience was not properly vetted. The latter having caused injury or death.

Nowadays, women of principle tend to have the baby. They might put it up for adoption (plenty of people are looking to adopt). Or they may choose to raise it themselves (with hopefully a lot of support from their families).

But the old days are gone. Even without Federally funded abortions (which has always been the case), no woman has to run the risk of a "back alley" abortion.

As someone pointed out in regard to the Cash for Clunkers program, a program to throw money out of helicopters would probably also be popular. That doesn't mean it should be done. And I can guarantee that once in place, it would be impossible to revoke.

The difference is Social Security, Medicare, and all of the Johnson-era Great Society programs were WIDELY POPULAR.

The program is widely UNPOPULAR.

You know what happens to unpopular programs? Look up the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act of 1988 sometime...

The abortion clinic in Sioux Falls is constantly in a battle with the state of Sourth Dakota over basic requirements for abortion providers. Abortionists have become so desperate in South Dakota that they will literally drive you from Rapid City to Sioux Falls for your abortion just to keep their business going. I remember in college when we toured the Red River Valley abortion clinic. It was very disturbing considering that was what they wanted us to see as a public relations event. Seriously, the lady giving us the tour cleaned rooms at a local nursing home for a part-time job on the side, and the college girl sitting at the front desk was a women's studies major at my college. Basically, day-to-day operations at the Fargo clinic were being run by a janitor and a student liberal activist. These were the people giving abortion referrals and counseling. Talk about quality control!!!

PS: In an entirely unintentional comidic gesture on my part, I showed up in my normal election season garb with "re-elect Bush" pins all over my winter coat. What I did not know was that I was running about a minute late, and the lady was already speaking to the group. I tried to open the door to the clinic but it was locked and an alarm went off. I immediately got an allarmed response from the person watching me through the camera as to why I was there. They let me in and quickly got reassurances from the professor that I was a part of the group. I have never seen pro-abortionists with such a worried look before. They thought for sure the smack down was coming....but, it was just me.
