One plausible way it could have happened is that Phil Jones, who is known to have uploaded his own private data (including emails) to anonymous FTP sites in the past, might have created a zip archive full of files and stored it at some insecure location, from which it was taken. Maybe he thought his hard drive was going bad and wanted to backup the data somewhere else. Who knows?

But the bottom line for me is that the story of the data being hacked sounds like a coverup. If it was hacked, why didn’t the laboratory call the police when it happened instead of waiting to see what data had been “stolen”? If they were hacked why didn’t they call the police and change all the passwords the same day? They waited until last night. Why?

I think the claim that it was a hack is a lie and the more likely explanation is a mole/whistle blower. You don’t wait three or four days after you become aware of a hack to report it to the police. Security 101 is identify, isolate, report. I could let them slide if it were 24 hours during which time they were investigating an issue that had not been determined to be a hack. But as soon as it is determined to be a hack, the police need to be contacted. Even if you don’t know the full extent of the hack (and usually you won’t) it gets reported along with the fact that you are still investigating.

these documents ought to be getting MAJOR awards at Conservative events like CPAC. There is some question about whether it was hacking or someone internally who was horrified at the lying going on and the potential to destroy countries over these lies and they released and dumped them.

I see the LEFTIST media is doing what it can to keep this MAJOR story under the rug. I know if these were Enron documents there would be wall to wall coverage. It is shameful that the media’s ideology is so far LEFT that they can no longer have a shred of decency in their thinking that they would not run with such a HUGE story as this and of course the ACORN story! It is why their numbers are below Congress and WE know how LEFT they are!
