They are blood sucking money leeches. They know their policies kill their districts. They don’t care as long as they get their money and can move to a prosperous district when their current district is completely devoid of money making prospects.

The clueless are merely annoying, these parasites are far worse.

around here third party talks are not exactly met with a warm reception because it is believed that a third party only assures that the other party wind handedly. I tend to agree with this assessment as well

That said, this is why we make sure that the GOP feels the pain of wandering away from the good ideas for a quick trip down progressive lane.

Now that I think about it, independents are something that could easily be considered at the Representative or local level, but for President or Senate (thanks 17th amendment) we need to work with in the parties confines and make sure we are very loud and carry the purse strings.

Republicans were stupid when they had the majority, and are being stupid now for uniting under a common ideology.

It’s OK though. After the Dems have ruined this country… it will be time for a new party to take over. I’m just not confident it will be Republicans.

Hell, lets give the Independents a shot! They could do NO WORSE.

We will need to take over the MSM first, then take back the schools. If you can get your message out, the revolution stalls.

And then, of course, we will need to neutralize Peter Lewis and George Soros. And dozens of other uber wealthy progressive implementers.

Believe me, they’ll spend a boatload and put a PI on the tail of every Republican in Congress to maintain control. These aren’t civil people.

Unfortunately, I feel the use of the Gadsden flag is now appropriate where the Republican party is concerned, in addition to other usurpers of the Constitution.

What we need is on-line map of every state in the US. By clicking on any one state in the map you could find the region where you live and your CongressCritter who is supposed to represent you (maybe as a pop-up listing their email address, physical location, and phone number). Then it would list how he/she/it voted on each and every bill (with a description of what the bill was).

Then next year when the run-up for the 2010 elections begin start sending emails, letters, and call every one you know to not vote for the SOB, while offering an alternative to the SOB who wants to keep his/her/its job being a CongressCritter.

And the alternative to the SOB cannot be a politician and would promise to pass term limits on anyone and everyone.

Then… they can begin to dismantle this mess the lib’s (and their enablers) have created. No Obama economics, no New Deal, etc. All of it.

And…there should not be any lobbyists writing bills for passage. If the CongressCritters can’t write the darn thing, why are they signing it?

and my understanding of the party affiliation is very sketchy; however, I do believe the state while having a traditional conservative lean, still suffer from prior generations association with the Democrat party (again correct me if I am wrong). That said, I understand that in the state of NC a majority of the states voters can vote with the Republican >54% of the total collective votes for state legislatures seats and wind up as having only 60 seats out of 120 and for the Senate the Republican identity can collectively get 50% of the vote but only obtain 21 out of 50 seats. It seems the districts of NC are divided peculiarly.

That said, it appears that the state of NC enjoyed quite the boom under a Republican Governor and Senators in the years 2000-2007. I would also attribute a large influx of NE and Blue-Staters came down to the Research Triangle for the active R&D environment and the states favorable atmosphere for business growth. Well, that seems to be over now, but NC has been left blue with liberals that were voted in by transplants from blue states bringing their voting habits that caused them to leave the state they came from. Bizzare huh?

Of course the same can be said for Virginia with its large transient population coming from the rust belt and New England. VA is quite different now then when i first moved here in 1999; of course MD is also drastically different now then when I grew up there prior to 99.

you would think the heart of TVA country. But Kingsport gets its power from Appalachian power, out of Virginia, which is coal generated. Kingsport’s largest employer, Eastman, generates their own, also coal-fired. 8 miles out from the heart of the city is Johnson City power board lines, supplied by TVA. What do you think is gonna happen to Kingsport and Eastman if this cap and tax is signed?

Ssadly enough, you don’t have to turn over too many rocks to find Obama supporters, though.

Eastman, btw is Tennessee’s largest employer, industry wise, or will be with the GM plant closing and Nissan cutting back. It’s a chemical plant, too, so chemicals, plus coal-fired power, double negative for the O-ministration.

so last summer he and my mother were driving to South Dakota to go fishing, it had been storming and the wind was blowing hard, he said every windmill they drove by, hundreds in that part of Minnesota and South Dakota, was shut down. the wind was blowing too hard, too fast, had to shut them down or they’d burn up. When they got to Peirre to go fishing the hydro electric dams on the Missouri River were shut down. It had rained during the storm and the river was too full, had to shut down the generators or they’d burn them up.

Everything stayed shut down for the long weekend they were there fishing, everything except the coal fired plants that is. They pumped their carbon into the atmosphere all weekend picking up the slack for the unreliable new green technology and providing power so Americans could work and live!

We’ve got Kay Hagen (D), she’s on record stating her support for Cap and Trade, she’s rumored to be against Obamacare but her voting record thus far is not impressive. She voted against the party once since taking office in Jan. I’m going to wordsmith a letter on health care to try to coax her along but I think she’s a lost cause, pretty much totally but especially on Cap and tax.

Our Representatives in the house are 8 Dems and 5 Republicans. Down from 2008.

The General assembly has 124 seats with 69 demoncats, the republicans are so weak they couldn’t stop our Sovereignty Resolution from being sent back to committee to languish and die.

Lets just leave Bev Perdue out of the conversation. It’s been a bad enough day already.

Hell, a business owner isn’t even free to decide if he wants to allow smoking or not, the State government seized that right a month or so ago. Stupid business owners, greedy devils can’t be trusted.

The worse the employment numbers get, the more textile factories that close the more victims the demoncats find to register and vote for their entitlements.

We’ve got a hard row to hoe south of your border.

I was anywhere else in Virginia except NOVA. I can not believe with all of the Defense contractors up here that this district went to a very liberal democrat. I guess I will be out of a job or working for Government position created to replace my contract, and I will cost the taxpayer more, makes a heck of a lotta sense huh?

Anyway, I agree with you it seems the Republican party had a failure of leadership today as far the defectors because I just can not see how this was not a slam dunk full (R) no vote.
