Mayor Michael Bloomberg for the past several years has lectured law-abiding gun owners about crime rates and responsible firearm ownership while himself violating the cardinal rules of Gun Ownership 101 via Mayors Against Illegal Guns, and he’s done it again:
It’s pretty insane that no one at this press conference is the least bit uncomfortable with the direction these guns are pointing, save perhaps for the press themselves. The Golden Rules of Gun Safety broken here? Assume that all guns are loaded, even if they aren’t, and point them towards the ground. I knew this even as a child, but I grew up with a family who embraces firearm knowledge and safety, a family who hunts, and has common sense. Bloomberg’s presser was a silly attempt by reckless, clueless individuals who want to demonstrate influence without knowledge.
MIAG’s last screw-up?
This is a screencap from one of two recent anti-gun ads from MAIG. What’s wrong with this ad? — other than the NYC elect’s belief that an actor donning flannel and a cap whilst sitting on a truck speaks to us impressionable flyover hillbillies. People who actually own and use firearms are tearing at their hair because the actor has his finger on the trigger. You don’t put your finger on the trigger unless you’re ready to pull it, proving once again that it’s not the law-abiding people with firearm knowledge whom you have to fear.
