Angry over Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s participation in the high court’s Voting Rights Act decision, Minnesota State Rep Ryan Winkler (D/Labor Party) called Justice Thomas an “Uncle Tom.”

He later said that he didn’t know what the term meant that that it was “debatable” whether or not it was racist.

While Clarence Thomas grew up the descendants of slaves in a part of Georgia that lacked paved roads and a sewer system. The poor child of a single mother, Thomas worked his way through school and is a shining example of what hard work can do with opportunity.

Ryan Winkler grew up in mostly-white Minnesota in the 80s which honed his ability to judge the blackness of black Americans who grew up in the segregated south.

The irony is that Winkler embodies the very reason why the government had to intervene to protect black Americans from racist Democrats leftists in the first place.

“I was very disappointed today in the Supreme Court decision to roll back key provisions of the Voting Rights Act because I believe the Voting Rights Act is one of the most important steps our nation has taken to eliminate racial discrimination.

In expressing that disappointment on twitter, I hastily used a loaded term that is offensive to many. My words were inappropriate and I apologize. The implications of this Supreme Court decision are serious for our state and country and I regret that my comments have distracted from the serious dialogue we must have going forward to ensure racial discrimination has no place in our election system.”

Weak sauce. This wasn’t a “loaded term,” it was a racial slur. For all the times that the left shrieks racism, here you have it. His words were inappropriate, yes, but even more so his mentality for which he can apologize for but likely remains unchanged. It’s this mentality Winkler demonstrated that gave life to Jim Crow, segregation, and other atrocities committed against black Americans in the name of racist, Democrat “justice.”
