If the American people ignore evidence of a neo-communist with a God Complex and a leftist past and buy into this minor thing, then I’m moving to Australia.

It is at most a violation of a technical administrative law. Penalties, if any, for this sort of violation are minimal, a minor fine, an admonition.

I lived under that law for twenty years and I’ve done lots of stuff that if they’d blown up, I’d have been happy to cop to that finding. Fortunately, I’m a little slicker than the Governor’s staff.

I cannot defend the Governor nor her staff for how they mishandled the firing, waiting three days to offer an explanation to the public why, but that’s about it.

She did not break ANY law. Alaska’s Public Safety Commissioner serves at the pleasure of the Governor. I’d ask what kind of “Public Safety” Commissioner he was, allowing for an abusive/alcoholic and death-threatening state trooper to remain on the job (regardless of his relationship to the Palins).

The Investigation and the Bipartisan State Lawmakers have really sided with Monegan.

The Investigative Report did nothing but side with these two two abusive men seeking justice against Palin. But what is the ramification of these things:

That’s why Monegan feels that he has been exonerated by the Investigator’s report. What a shame!

Now if I relate it to the relatively higher rape crime rate in Alaska:

I suspect that the disregard of the Alaskan Lawmakers on the characters of Monegan and Wooten has undermined the integrity of Alaskan Lawmakers with respect to prevention of violence against women.

Fighting violence against women start with the condemnation of “abusive men”. Monegan’s past history of domestic violence makes him UNFIT TO PUBLIC OFFICE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Palin’s sin is actually allowing Monegan to continue his post when she became a governor. She should have fired People like Monegan in Day 1.

With respect to Lyda Greene, a woman who is against a woman Governor, Alaskan Legislature should be proud of its LOVE FOR ETHICS… to be read as:

Don’t touch the old good boys club, that’s unethical and a huge price shall be paid.

The sound byte here is that “Palin was found guilty of abusing power,” and the fact the “finding” is actually contained in a self-contradictory document short on evidence and filled with speculation that was put out by an investigator hired by an Obama-supporting Democrat who explicitly promised “an October surprise” is a hard case to make.

with a state Senator that was already vetoed, then that’s it. Period. Justifiable termination. Call the unemployment office to determine your eligibility.
Also, add to the fact that Monegan let a trooper who admittedly said he tasered his stepson stay on the force means he wasn’t doing his job. This was a public safety position, right?
By the way, Monegan himself said in an interview on August 30th with the Anchorage Daily News “for the record, no one has ever said fire Wooten. Not the governor. Not Todd. Not any of the other staff.”
Ignore the fact that Senator Elton around $2000 to Obama’s campaign, and Obama’s website at one time (at least) bragged about three other Democrats on the panel that are supporting Obama.
Personally, this is a hyped-up, little substance charge that is so freaking WEAK it should be ignored. However, next thing you know, the MSM will start comparing her to Dick Cheney.

I read the report and it’s the silliest thing I’ve ever seen. I worked in state government, tho not in Alaska, and this is minor league.

Frankly, had she not fired the guy I think she’d have been out of line herself.

I’m hoping the McCain campaign will pull the really stupid stuff out of that report (maybe reenact a grown man tasering an 11 year old or a trooper swigging a budweiser in his patrol car) and let America see the kind of hijinks politicians will stoop to.

In short, the Alaskan Legislature just wasted its time and resources to a investigation that it would ignore later. What a waste of government money!!!!

There is no room for damage. Given the current levels of support on both sides, there is nothing at this point that will help McCain or hurt Obama by a winning or losing margin.

Seems like even this commission figured out Sarah Palin didn’t break any laws.

If any governor knows that a state trooper has threatened to KILL his father-in-law, isn’t it reasonable for that governor seek to have the trooper dismissed?

I am sorry folks maybe I am being a downer today but it just feels like we can’t catch one break; everything goes against us.

In many papers today the titles read: “Palin Abused Governor Power” and that sadly enough is not going to help us and only bring up more negative press
