Zogby Poll
McCain/Palin 47%
Obama/Biden 45%
Obama has 86% of Democrats and McCain had 89% of Republicans but with Palin it rose to 92% but with Biden it stayed at 89%.
52% voters say Palin helps ticket (among independents 52% say it helps 26% it hurts)
Woman: 49% say it will help 29% say it will hurt
Among Republicans 89% say it will help 3% say it will hurt
Many polls out there thought I would share another and Zogby tends to lean Democrat

McCain/Palin has solidified

McCain’s really a MAVERICK!
Zogby Interactive = worthless.
CrabCakes (Diary) Sunday, August 31st at 6:57AM EST (link)I’m not saying McCain won’t get a bounce from Palin. I honestly don’t know what effect she’ll have on the race, if any.
The Zogby Interactive poll, however, is about as unscientific as a poll can possibly be. It’s internet based, the participants are self-selected, and more “modeling” goes into it than any other poll. RCP doesn’t even use them in their polling averages.
The Rasmussen and Gallup daily polls will be interesting the see today, however, since half their samples will have been taken from after the Palin announcement.
Zogby Agenda?
ragnarb Sunday, August 31st at 8:19AM EST (link)Several years ago I discovered zogby was muslim; right or wrong, and flags went up. Then he decided to leave anonymity behind and started showing up on talk shows, exposing his antisemitism and questionable views on the war on terror. I now question all of his polls as being tainted and biased.
Current Gallup poll...
txaggies911 Sunday, August 31st at 2:06PM EST (link)Has the lead narrowed from 49-41 to 48-42…still an outside-the-margin lead for Obama/Biden.
They use a three day rolling poll, so two of the three days are post-Palin, the same number as are post-Obama acceptance speech. So probably too soon to tell if there’s an actual bounce.
My gut says there won’t be right off. I don’t think that many people are going to immediately change their vote on the ticket based on Palin when they don’t actually know much about her.
