They are probably re-writing Cap & Trade to punish Virginia & Jersey now. The Cap & Trade Bill was written to punish energy producing Red States and tip the scales in favor of the blue urban areas.

The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.

Owens campaigned agnaist the public option and John McHugh was aganist it. John Giarmondi campaigned on it but he is replacing Ellen Tauscher who was for it. Also there are 3 freshman dems from Virginia in R districts that might be thinking twice about this now.
