Ya think maybe the IOC took into account BHO’s Apologizing for America World Tour 2009 as a reason Chicago didn’t deserve the Olympics. You can’t go out and badmouth the country that elected you and then expect to get the Olympics. That’s common sense. Maybe Roland Martin at CNN and the rest of the zombie media should take that into account before they start trashing Erick and the rest of us.

We just paid a visit to the Hudson River Valley . As we toured Hyde Park It struck me how very different Roosevelt and Obama are in their approach to the Presidency. Whether you believe FDR ‘saved us from the Depression’ as I was always told by my Mom, or whether you believe that WWII actually was the reason the economy recovered ; he never ever told the American people that America was mediocre, historically a predatory nation and worthy of reconsideration as Obama continually does – - even at the quest for the Olympic Games. How he believed that would clinch the choice is beyond me.

FDR said ‘what we have to fear is fear itself’….he loved this country, respected our many contributions to the world and our example of a Democratic nation. It is stunning to hear what Obama tells the world about America. It made me realize that the Democratic Party is not the party of FDR – - it has morphed into something unrecognizable to many and hopefully many more very soon.

We also went to West Point , an incredible institution filled with history and young people who believe in our country The Point’s Honor Code is inspiring:

“A cadet will not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do.”

Who can argue the truth of Eisenhower’s remark “I profoundly feel that in its perpetuation is one of the best assurances of our nation’s future security.”

When General MacArthur addressed the cadets for the last time, as an old man, he spoke of his love for West Point
