Repeal and Replace the Health Care Bill

Speaker Pelosi said we’d have to “pass the health care bill to find out what’s in it,” and four months ago, Democrats agreed – in the middle of the night, in back rooms – to pass it.

Today, they are finally taking a look at just what’s in the health care bill, and turns out, they don’t like what they’re seeing either.

They’re finding out what the American people already knew: this was a bad bill that would raise the costs of their health care, cut benefits to seniors, and hurt America’s small businesses.

With the support of many rank-and-file Democrats, I offered a substitute last week that would repeal the 1099 tax provision that gives more work to small businesses while taking away their ability to create new jobs. That’s right – Democrats agree that the health care law is a job-killer, and they want to repeal it, too!

But just how bad it would hurt job growth in this country didn’t seem to matter to Speaker Pelosi. She and the Democratic leadership yanked their own bill and my substitute off the floor almost immediately to prevent my repeal from moving forward. Turns out, they’re more interested in protecting Obamacare than American jobs.

It’s too bad it took the rest of the Democrats 4 months and one bad health care law to figure it out. I continue to work to repeal and replace the health care bill.

"Replace" is unwarranted and counter-productive...

Obamacare: Repeal… Investigate… Prosecute…

If you wish to address problems with our healthcare system, ensure the solvency of Medicare and Medicaid and institute comprehensive medical liability reform.

Oh, and do it with transparent, targeted legislation.

Repeal and no replacement

Joe Biden is like a Decrepit Park owner with a Meth lab that happens to not only be a dealer but a user.

Let’s Bankrupt the Democratic paty. Make spend all the money to defend thier candidates.

Only if current trends hold and "Sixty-Six" is repeated... nt

Senator Begich supports HCR against our wishes, and he claims we elected him to make our decisions for us.
Our other Senator, Lisa Murkowski. is from the repeal and replace faction.
We have no honest and true representation.

rbdwiggans- You are as wrong as the diary you responded to

I agree with “repeal” “investigate”and “prosecute.”

Then you get into “ensuring” the solvency of Medicare and Medicaid” is where you go really really far off the reservation. What part of entitlement economic destruction have you missed. Hello, hello, are you there- Are you shilling for your own pet entitlements?

Those entitlements are here to stay...

That’s hard to swallow, but true.

My position is simple and straightforward.

Reduce cost by promoting competition in the healthcare and medical insurance industries.

Further reduce cost by enacting comprehensive medical liability reform.

Pursue pro-growth economic and tax policies that enable the individual to purchase affordable private health insurance.

Well Scope it's over you head

Entitlements aren’t something that can be killed very well. Reducing other costs are more practical but if want to on the stupid bandwagon be my guess.

rbdwiggians, you base your whole argument on the basis of limiting liability for malpractice cases. It goes much deeper than only that. Hey. stick to your single issue, it is what it is. You apparently have mixed the argument now from an argument for Medicare and Medicaid entitlements , to one of medical liability reform, as smooth as a Democrat.

Richard Mullins, I really have no response to you, as, you are always ready to attack, when someone else gives you the lead to do so, because you were told to. You are all over the map on every issue. Sorry that you are a follower, rather than a leader, with your own personal opinions. You could be better.

Richard Mullins- I have to say

that you and I are so much more on the right side of the issues than you give me credit for. I have no idea why you have decided to attack me personally. I would appreciate if you would post your arguments, or whatever you have against me. It would be enlightening to me.

Scope, your spelling is atrocious...

Query: Since when does Medicare/Medicaid entitlement reform, free-market reform of the healthcare industry, medical liability reform, pro-growth economic policies, pro-growth tax policies and personal responsibility equal “single-issue.”
