The GOP leadership for 111th congress

(h/t to Club for Growth blog)

According to John Boehner’s office, here’s the new leadership team for House Republicans.

Republican Leader: John A. Boehner of Ohio

Republican Whip: Eric Cantor of Virginia

Republican Conference Chairman: Mike Pence of Indiana

Republican Policy Committee Chairman: Thaddeus McCotter of Michigan

Republican Conference Vice-Chair: Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington

Republican Conference Secretary: John Carter of Texas

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman: Pete Sessions of Texas

This looks like a pretty good slate for us, especially Cantor, Pence and Sessions.

Or am I misremembering regarding Sessions? In any case, he is going to have the most important job of all. Can we get him to be a regular here during the next 2 years?

As long as Boehner's name is on top they get nothing from me.

Two strikes and you’re out.

These guys had their hats handed to them twice and still can’t buy a clue.

as Blackburn, Cantor, Flake, McCotter, Pence, Ryan and Shedegg all passed up the option to challange Boehner for the post. The losses in the house had more to do with a combo of Bush hate by indies and McCain hate by the base than anything Boehner or the House Republicans did.
