When Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin join with Erick Erickson in denouncing Mike Castle’s very liberal voting record (he’s proud to have voted in favor of the Obama agenda 99% of the time), they cannot all be wrong. Christine O’Donnell isn’t perfect (none of us are), but at least we know what she stands for and against, that she’s not beholden to special interest groups and, as the Scott Brown election demonstrated, it’s critical at times that we have one more senator voting with the people, to slow down the Obama human wrecking ball. O’Donnell will vote to repeal Obamacare and will stand against cap and trade and further “stimuli” and bailouts; Castle won’t.

And fear not, O’Donnell will win against the Democrat candidate if enough of us support her, no matter what the NRSC or RNC do or fail to do. And if she does not do a good enough job as senator, next time we get someone that both represents the people and feel is more qualified – but we don’t fall back on the incumbent congressional RINO just out of fear.
Castle has $2 million more in funds to burn than O’Donnell, and the GOP establishment is doing its best to “kill off” the O’Donnell campaign, as ABC News Washington Senior Editor Rick Klein cheered on in his recent Tweeter post here: http://www.americanconservativedaily.com/2010/09/outrage-top-abc-newsman-cheers-on-liberals-to-kill-off-conservatives-candidacy/
If you care about reversing or at least slowing down the Obama agenda, please support the TPE’s expanded moneybomb for O’Donnell. Despite Gov Christie’s recent endorsement of Castle (clearly not his finest decision in my view), the momentum is still with O’Donnell. If we stand with her she’ll win. Sarah Palin thinks she can.

If I vote "No" then it's not unanoymous anymore?
Change Jar Conservative (Diary) Thursday, September 9th at 3:02PM EST (link)The ACU gives Castle a 54 … I’m sure that’s quite a bit higher than what Coons will get after he beats O’Donnell.
There are certain places in this country where moderates have more of a chance than conservatives to win.
Until we have control of the Senate and 60+ votes in it, I prefer to win rather than purify.

Dare to Aim High
danielbdp (Diary) Thursday, September 9th at 6:39PM EST (link)This is NOT about Conservative purity; it’s all about slowing down the destructive Obama agenda. Having Liberal Repubs that vote with Obama just gives him cover (e.g., they will endlessly remind us that Repubs voted for TARP and Stimulus I). If Castle wins, Obama wins even better than if Coons wins. He gets to brag about his “bipartisan support” for even more runaway mega-spending that will surely bankrupt this nation!
Think Country First, Repubs second!

civil truth (Diary) Thursday, September 9th at 6:47PM EST (link)Have no idea if this applies to the Delaware primary, but couldn’t resist saying this. I need some humor today.
The greatest evil…is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern. -C.S. Lewis

Unanimous? I thought Chris Christie endorsed Mike Castle
jonreagan (Diary) Friday, September 10th at 2:14PM EST (link)One of the biggest rock stars in the GOP today—and one of the country’s most effective governors—-has not only endorsed Mike Castle, but made a commercial to announce it. While I’m a fan of both Hannity and Levin, Gov. Christie’s endorsement probably carries more weight with a good many people.
Further, your first paragraph is a little deceptive. Erick Erickson has indeed denounced Mike Castle’s voting record, but he also posted a separate article recently to withdraw his endorsement of Christine O’Donnell. You conveniently left that inconvenient truth out of your diary.
Wednesday’s WSJ had an interesting take on the Delaware contest, “The Tea Party and the GOP”, in which they described Mrs. O’Donnell as “an itinerant conservative commentator”:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703713504575476530371298528.html?KEYWORDS=The+Tea+Party+and+the+GOP
Until Mrs. O’Donnell pledges to support the winner of the primary, AND promises not to wage a thrid-party run if she loses, she is a non-serious candidate. It really means that she’s no better than another turncoat, Charlie Crist.
Castle doesn't vote with Obama 99% of the time
JSobieski (Diary) Friday, September 10th at 2:24PM EST (link)In fact, he votes with Republicans 87% of the time during the current Congress according to an analysis of actual votes by the Washington Post.
The biggest problem I have with many O’Donnell supporters is that they just make stuff up like the 99% bit, while failing to acknowledge actual objective facts.
Its not persuasive, its actually clownish. Better to talk about how the Delaware GOP is a bunch of #@^%^& for filing FEC charges. That would be a good diary. The Delaware GOP should frankly declare itself to be totally useless and resign en mass. Afterwards they should publicly flog themselves in public and beg for forgiveness.
However, just making stuff up is not so good. I mean, if you are going to make stuff up, say something like O’Donnell was the brain power behind the successes of Google, Habitat for Humanity, the human genome project, HD TV, and social networking. How about something like O’Donnell has a matter to energy converter that can solve the energy crisis. These are things I can’t disprove. Your 99% number is easily disproven. As the NRO has pointed out, O’Donnell’s problems are that so many of the mistatements are varifiably false.
When I see the 99% number, all I see in the rest of your diary is blah blah blah blah blah. You have a good case to make (Castle is a tool) but come one, don’t shoot yourself in the foot for no reason.
My rules of the road for primary season.
Rule #1: Vote for YOUR first choice in the primaries
Rule #2: Vote for the R in the general.
Rule #3: Don’t let anyone convince you to violate Rule #1 or Rule #2
Rule #4: When in a center-right argument, reaffirm Rules #1-#3–it will help us all to get along better.
Rule #5: If you are using the language of the left, you probably aren’t furthering conservativism
Rule #6: The priority is issues first, candidates second, and supporters third. Nobody is bigger than the issues. Conversely, if you spend your time focusing on supporters, you are wasting everyone’s time.
