The federal government is already in trouble when Moody even discusses the possibility of changes in it’s credit rating.

Who does the Amateur-in-Chief think he’s talking to? Not one single entitlement program ever stayed within it’s intent or it’s budget. And this so-called “health care” reform doesn’t even address one of the biggest issues with insurance costs – tort reform.

Getting the debt back down to a reasonable level will require extraordinary, almost unimaginable, fiscal discipline and political cooperation. Failing to do so will lower the national standard of living and ultimately threaten America’s economic stability.

is a columnist I found on an article in Free Republic. He makes good points and is very optimistic like you. I’m a news junkie and scour the net, I guess it comes from my background in journalism.

How about a draw-down for the non-military part of the bloated Federal government?
Cut all non-military Federal pay by one third with a minimum 2x poverty level of pay.
Make all non-military Federal employees “at whim” and negate all Federal Union agreements by special statute.
Tell every department if they do not reduce their departments by 10 percent by day X they will be reduced by 20 percent on the day after including every single administrator whose departments failed to meet the reduction requirements…
Remove all Federal pensions and benefits for retiring Reps who served in elected or politically appointed positions.

Just a thought…

…this from the guy who just told us the Federal government needs to spend our way out of the recession, or some such non-sense…

For the good of the country, if not the planet, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, should resign.

The way to a socialistic run government is to stop following the rules of the government. Force unconstitutional laws and regulations on, We The People. Allow the majority to dictate what the people will and will not do. Force upon us Taxation without representation. International intervention with out congressional approval. All these things they are doing can be seen as treasonous actions against the well being of our Nation. They have ruined our once good credit rating, placing China in control of our financial well being. What more can they do to ruin our great nation before the people step up to be counted as for or against their philosophy of ruination?
